Having no idea what to expect the guys working here explained everything thoroughly and had a laugh with us. We done The Di Vinci Room, and it was well themed and some of the challenges were pretty difficult. The guys do have communication throughout the hour and can give you some guidance when needed. This room has a awesome little... More

This place is amazing... it differs from any other birthday activity that you could be doing. The subject may be daunting but you dont have to be good at puzzles or escaping. My family certainly isnt. But you have a good time with something different. And you also learn something new about yourself everytime you try and maybe even succeed... More

This was a very interesting part of our away day. There were 16 of us and we created 3 teams to use escape rooms. So much fun and it really showed the different ways each of us tackle clues and figure out the best way to get out of the room. Great team bonding event.

Literally so much fun! A definite must try. You will love it, worth every penny! Get locked in a room and have to solve problems to complete a mission. Very interactive everything in the room is a potential clue. Very clever and entertaining. A brain workout and a great adrenaline rush.

We had a brilliant time at Escape. The poor guys there must have the patience of saints as they had to deal with a bunch of "wumen" on my hen do. I would highly recommend this as such a fun thing to do. Just try not to have too many proseccos before you go in as you do need most... More

We (group of close friends) booked the 'taken' room for some friday night fun and we were not disappointed. This was our second escape game (first time at this venue). The room was challenging but we managed to escape in 53minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpfull - some of the technology in the rooms seemed a bit tempremental... More

Hi Steven, thanks for review. I think I know (again without giving it away) what the piece of tech is you refer to. I have just done it several times in a row but I think it's a case of it being easy if you know the answer and if you get it wrong too many times in quick succession... More

We recently attended this venue for a corporate team building exercise. To be honest I had my reservations at the thought of it but I will now eat my words because this experience was excellent! My team was in the Jekyll and Hyde room and it was pretty tough. The tasks really get you thinking and it definitely ticks the... More

First time doing this activity and it was great fun if at times too challenging !!! More people you have(max 6 ) the cheaper it is as price is per room. My only critism of our room ( the da Vinci room ) was it had energy saving light bulbs which took ages to come back on whilst completing one... More

Hi, thanks for the review and the comments. The magnifying glass is an interesting idea although a lot of people may interpret this as a clue! In terms of the lighting this seems to be a flaw in the lighting throughout this old building and as such is out of our control. I personally try to warn teams that lights... More

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
