We took the "Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands Small-Group Day Trip from Edinburgh" tour with Nik as the guide. It was an amazing day, the guide told us lots of fun stories, tales and information about the highland areas. The van and the plan were both really comfortable and well laid out.

We went on a highlands tour with our wonderful tour guide Roger. Buses are actually like 12 seater vans which is cool, feels more interactive. Roger was really great, full of lots of knowledge and he took us to some great off the schedule spots. Would highly recommend but be aware that it is a long tour, 12 hours, and... More

Took this 5 day tour in May with Steven as our driver/guide. Our third adventure with Rabbie's Tours and as always, enjoyed a care-free educational experience in a beautiful part of the world. Steven was knowledgeable and very personable. Provided a great assortment of music showcasing musicians from each place we visited or drove through along with many little-known facts... More

Chose Rabbie's based on rave reviews on Tripadvisor, and was so happy I did! I joined 3 day Isle of Skye tour with David. Great mix of people on the tour, David was very kind and caring for us - went out of his way to show us more and to cater to some individual wishes. Great stories on the... More

An amazing 5 days of excitement, discovery, stories and musical delight. The tour bus seats up to 16 people making interaction more personal. Photo opportunities, allowed you to hop off the bus and take memoriable photos. Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
