This was not a typical walking tour. Educational? Yes, but so much more. The guides, Paul and Hazel, were excellent entertainers that brought the history to life. I highly recommend spending an evening with them.

I did not enjoy this at all. Way too long and the performers had such thick Scottish accents I could not understand what they were staying throughout the performance. Also since our tickets were on a Saturday night the pubs were full and we had...More

This is a tour with a difference. You don't really have to any knowledge of books but its a fun way to gain some knowledge. The tour guides were fantastic. Whilst this is a fairly flat walking tour there was one section that was a...More

A pleasant evening out with two actors who enjoy what they do and provide and interesting background to the history of Edinburgh particularly in relation to its poetic links. They clearly love what they were doing and cared about the people they were presenting to....More

Despite living relatively local to Edinburgh and traipsing up and down the Royal Mile on quite a few occasions, I must admit that I'd never really ventured down the closes so I was very pleasantly surprised with all the hidden gems just off the Royal...More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

Refund for Cancelled Event (8 Replies)
Greetings everyone. First post. I reserved 2 tickets in September for an October Literary Pub Tour in Edinburgh. My daughter, a cancer survivor, and her husband advised that this was the one event they wanted to see when they joined my partner and me in Scotland. I ordered & paid for the tickets, rec'd the email confirmation, and my daughter & SIL showed up at the required time. They were advised on that chilly night that the tour was cancelled. No refund was given. Although I can...More

assuming you paid by credit card raise a dispute with the credit card company. If you have proof of cancellation that usually works.
