Tours and Tickets by Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour
The award winning Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour was the first literary tour to be launched in Edinburgh in 1996! Why is it regarded by many as a pioneer in its field and a Must-See cultural attraction in guide books throughout the world - standing out from all the rest.......? Performed by professional actors and not academics or tour guides reciting from books. It represents great value for money and has a very high entertainment factor!

Join the intrepid duo, Clart ( as in muck!) and our clean-hankied intellectual Mcbrain, who will lead you on a brilliant and witty dramatic romp through the wynds, courtyards and pubs of Edinburgh's Old and New Town. A Hilarious duel of wits across three hundred years of great writing and colourful characters.

We very much enjoyed this tour. The actors were excellent and we learned a lot while visiting several pubs and walking the streets of beautiful Edinburgh. Instructions for meeting were clear and the group size was comfortable.

This tour came highly recommended from several sources and we were excited to experience it. We booked for Sunday evening September 15. When we arrived a representative told us that, due to an actor being sick, they had to cancel. No one else was waiting...More

We should not have done this on our first night. It went late and we were too tired. We liked the literary and poetry quotes, but the actors were hard to hear. Pub crawl should ended where we began, we walked too far.

This Literary tour was one of our trip highlights. We started in a comedy stage room above a pub, in a popular area called The Grass Market. The two guys who led the tour were fabulous, verbally jousting over facts, myths and possibly some fake...More

We loved the Literary Pub Tour. The two actors were well informed and embodied their roles well--and then stepped out of character a bit to answer questions and to chat. Our group was just the right size--10 or 12 of us.
