Busy but still clean

A pretty beach with amusements and eateries along it. A very busy attraction on sunny days but it was still kept very clean and it was enjoyable to walk up and down a few times... read more

If you can get past the litter, Portobello is a wee delight. A nice local beach for the people living in or visiting Edinburgh to enjoy.

A pretty beach with amusements and eateries along it. A very busy attraction on sunny days but it was still kept very clean and it was enjoyable to walk up and down a few times while we were in Edinburgh. If you can find a parking space on the main road it's free and easier than trying to park on... More

The WORST service.....and has been every time. Such a shame as lovely place if they just worked how to cope with take away alongside sitting in....clearly too much of a challenge as been this way since opening.

Many who visit Edinburgh do not realise it has a lovely beach at Portobello. The beach is cleaned regularly. There is a promenade to walk along but it has not been made the most off. The Edinburgh council really should make more of this wonderful asset.

If you have time, if you wont to relax away from the old Centre of Edinburg why not going for a walk on the Edinburg Beach? The beach is very large and big and it's nice to walk on the shore (if the weathers permit you) otherwise you can do it on the promenade.

Came down for an early morning walk along the sands and stopped off for a coffee too. The beaches were great and a gentle slope down to the water, there were plenty of parking spaces along the side streets.

Miles of sand minutes from the city center, can be a bit brisk and breezy but you can't beat it on a sunny day, child and dog friendly pubs and restaurants.
