After visiting York dungeons my son was desperate to visit another, and we are so glad we did Edinburgh. It was a fantastic experience, the actors were great and kept your attention and helped give a fair few frights along the way, especially loved the...More

I visited here this morning and joined a group of about 10 people to be led round on an interactive experience by the costumed actors. The Judge picking people out and berating them for their crimes was such a laugh. The witch was scary and...More

Absolutely brilliant this place, we have been to the Blackpool dungeon BUT Edinburgh is 10 times better! The acting was very good & the boat ride was something different but scary! I’m not a scared person but I was wanting to close my eyes lol!...More

Very good dungeons. Personally I thought this was better than London Dungeons. Jumped out of my skin on Mary Queen of Scots. The exciting drop ride at the end was a thrill. Very good value for money.

Our kids are 12 and 13, they pretended not to be scared but they were so freaked out! It was brilliant fun, would recommend. I’d say 10 would be the youngest age I’d suggest for taking kids.

Our trip started off well a d I had high Hope's. There was excellent crowd participation, however after the room with the witch everything went downhill fast. I found it boring being shuffled from room to room, the boat ride seemed pointless and the actors...More

Hi Janine, Thanks for taking the time to review. The Dungeons experience is not everyone's cup of tea as it is quite different to traditional history / entertainment attractions. We're pretty confident from the overwhelming number of positive reviews that our overall mix of scary...More

Excellent scary fun! Not for the feint hearted! Would highly recommend- be prepared though it’s interactive and makes you jump! Get 2 for 1 tickets from National Railways if you visit Edinburgh via the train. Great value for money!

The kids at 9 & 10 were possibly a little young; but hey; they survived. Good fun for all the family, interact with the actors and the blurb says "Drop your guts" Not sure if that has a different meaning in Scotland but it would...More

I am only giving 4 stars because unfortunately a technical fault with some equipment meant a 40 min delay to the start time without any explanation until we reached the area where we were to have photos taken, we were then given a free entry...More

Thanks Louise, Good feedback, we'll look on improving our communication of technical challenges earlier in the queue if we can! Glad you had a horrible time, we do take great care in making the most nefarious smells we can for your enjoyment!

Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street

But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views

Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old
town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look
