The West End of Edinburgh is a cute area with boutiques, galleries and gift shops. Plus, there are plenty of places to grab a bite or gourmet meal. Most of the business are small and ran by locals so you get great service as well...More

A two hours walk through West End gives you a great feel for Georgian archtitecture with its spacious lay out and great buildings with nice crescents.and parks ( only accessable for thr inhabitants).

This is a nice area of town to visit. It's not so heavily populated with tourists and there are fewer merchants who are strictly targeting tourists. There are more *local* establishments and the area has more of a local feel to it than Old Town...More
