This was an enjoyable tour, although not as good as I expected. After having done the York and London Ghost Buses, I thought this would be equally as good, but it unfortunately fell a little short. The tour was meant to have a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes, but it only lasted an hour. Also, the guide seemed... More

Lots of laughs, spooky goings-on and some really interesting stories about Edinburgh's ghostly past, even for someone who lives in Edinburgh!! Plus for visitors you get to see some fantastic parts of Edinburgh. Our bus conductor was hilarious and very charming and a brilliant host, landing some scary surprises along the way! Highly recommended! Oh and I loved the bus... More

I have done most of the ghost tours in Edinburgh and done this one finally. It was really poor and just silly as if the audience are children. Hate to leave bad reviews as the man clearly is trying but waste of money for us unfortunately 😢

We purchased this tour on Groupon. This was pretty much the last of the ghost tours I've still to go on in the capital. The guide was brilliant and very humorous. He kept us all entertained for the hour odd the tour lasts. It's mainly on the bus but there is a small optional walking section through a graveyard. As... More

This tour is on an old black double decker bus... the tour is just over an hour long... our tour guide was very engaging, informative and funny with excellent acting skills. Only 1 stop to get off and walk around a Graveyard the rest is based on the bus, very tongue and cheek humour... a bit of cheese with great... More

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighborhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
