The World Famous Underground Ghost Tour

At street level, Edinburgh is a peaceful and pretty city—but the subterranean tunnels below tell an entirely different story. On this ghostly walking tour, explore historic sites including Greyfriars Kirkyard and St. Giles’ Cathedral with your enthusiastic guide, and hear chilling tales of murder and revenge. Delve down into underground caverns normally closed to the public, and learn of Edinburgh’s grim and gruesome past.

Fright Night Tour

See a different side of Edinburgh on this ghost tour of the city's medieval Old Town. Discover hidden alleyways and lanes as your guide (in period costume) recounts sinister tales of the city's dark past, with stories of murderers, witches, and grave robbers. Visit a reportedly haunted graveyard and go underground to the South Bridge Vaults where people once lived and worked—and, more gruesomely, bodysnatchers stole corpses.

Our tour guide John Napier was fabulous!! He was very interactive with everyone even the children remembering their names and making sure my two wee brothers felt involved the whole time! Great stories and he told them really well! We would highly recommend especially for families looking for something to do within the city! 10/10

A fun way to explore the city and learn some history while exploring the possibility of paranormal activity. We enjoyed our guide Jessie King’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the city and was overall a great night. Recommend doing the latest tour possible to get the eeriness of the night.

Full marks to our guide Jessie King. Paced the tour just right for two “uninterested “ teens who admitted later on to, “Really enjoying it!” 75 minutes could have felt rushed but turned out to be just about right. The tour ended up being around 90 minutes and we didn’t feel as if the guide was trying to rush off. I don’t know the young lady’s name but she was very good with stories, facts, questions and stayed for photo’s at the end. All of us really enjoyed it.
