Andy is the best! Firstly, we had good equipment, which hasn't always been our experience in other bicycle tours. Andy was wonderful in letting us postpone our tour as it was a torrential rain when we arrived at the appointed time. I'm sure he can't always do that, but it was greatly appreciated. There are lots of hills, so this isn't for the faint of heart, but the pace was easy, and you could walk if it just got too much. He is a great encourager! He even recommended (at my ask) a lovely restaurant for dinner and we stopped by on our ride to make reservations. It was worth every penny, and we highly recommend it!

We had a very nice trip, nearly 4 hours, round the city. Andy had lots of stories and was a very caring and engaging chap.

So glad you enjoyed the tour. And that we had fine weather. The following afternoon was decidedly wet!

It was the days before Hogmanay and we had just arrived into Edinburgh the day before. We were lucky to have a sunny day despite the cold, but we were provided with bikes that were in great condition, gear to keep us warm even though were not fully prepared, and an amazing day of touring the hills with Andy Hunter as our guide. We were both decent bikers, and still were challenged by the ride, but it was very worth it. The hills and routes that Andy chose were gorgeous and he kept a pace with us that was enjoyable and allowed for plenty of time for chatting and storytelling about what we were seeing. He took us to a lovely pub for lunch and happily answered our many questions that we had not only about the ride but also about Scotland and our trip in general. Would and have been recommending to everyone that I know!

Thank you for your review, Colin. We were blessed with some fine weather - actually Edinburgh, being on the East coast, is fairly dry (26 inches annual rainfall: about the same as New York). Of all the rides I do, the Hills one is the most strenuous, but as you say it's well worth the effort.

If you want to have a great learning experience and know more about the secrets of Edinburgh, take a bicycle tour with Andy. For my family and me it was a unique and fun experience, where details of this wonderful city were gradually revealed as with pedaled through its streets. We fully recommend bicycle lovers to take such an opportunity. Luiz Guimarães (Brazil)
