Siglo Nightclub
The area
Neighborhood: Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.

Great Birthday night out
Feb 2012 • Friends
Arrived at the venue just after midnight for a few final drinks...Venue not too busy when we arrived. Ordered a few drinks for our party. Bar staff quick and courteous.
DJ somehow sussed it was one of our group;'s birthday and promptly had them on stage, with the full Happy Birthday song played...Well played sir!! You don't know how much this made our young colleague's night. Well we stayed the rest of the night and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. 10/10

Great Thursday night out!
Oct 2011 • Friends
Great atmosphere in here and good crowd for a Thursday night. Late night bar, open from 9pm until 3am....Thursdays are Karaoke night, very good presenter, with some really great singers and the usual rubbish ones as well. Its karaoke after all!

Good drinks promos, service at the bar was efficient and its completely free entry all night. So if you're looking after the pennies and on a budget, definitely one to consider visiting. There were quite a few groups in when I got here, tourists and students mainly.

Clientele vary from locals to Italians, Danes, Americans, Spaniards (who are terrible singers and come in for a bit of stick from the presenter)...very funny and uncruel...

Haven't been here at weekends, but I believe it is a popular haunt for hen and stag do's, with DJ's on two floors of the venue.
