About
Come to the farm and practise Pilates with Pygmy Goats. Mabel & Hazel and Fergus & Angus are gorgeous Pygmy Goats who live at a beautiful farm in the stunning countryside of Fife in Scotland. Pygmy Goats are inquisitive, friendly and full of mischief, they're very gorgeous and soft, they love to climb and jump and their little hooves provide a back massage and much hilarity when they jump on you!

Neighborhood: New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.

- Siobhan H8 contributionsBrilliant fun day outI've now visited pygmy goat pilates twice, first in the summer and then again in the winter as it was so much fun I wanted to take a friend. Jo and Holly are amazing and welcoming hosts and that's before the fun begins... It really does what it says on the tin, some pilates moves (nothing too challenging, there was a total mix of ages and fitness levels in the groups on both of my visits) and then the goats! The visit starts with an introduction from the ladies and then we went to collect the goats from their field. They're super cute and once we start the class in the lovely heated room they really can't wait to join in. As soon as you're bending over Mabel and Hazel started having fun climbing on top of us. There are plenty of opportunities to catch this on camera too. A hilarious and very different way to spend a day out of the city! The farm is also a lovely location in itself, and after the class we were treated to tea and biscuits and the chance to relax in the beautiful surroundings. There are also dogs and lambs around the farm which got plenty of our attention. It's obvious everyone involved has a real passion to make the day special and very good care is taken of the animals. I will definitely return, especially for some of the seasonal themed days and highly recommend it for some fun animal therapy :-)Visited October 2019Written February 28, 2020
- Fiona R4 contributionsChristmas at the farmMy daughter my niece and I went to the farm in December. We were met by Jo and Holly who took us to the barn to meet Mabel Hazel Fergus and Angus. We had great fun planking with the girls jumping on to us. The boys were quite new and just enjoyed being around us. It was a bit shocking at first. Although they are quite small you really feel them when they jump up! We had a great laugh and the goats are lovely. Particularly Angus the blonde one! After our exercise we had tea and biscuits and a chat. I'd recommend this for an afternoon out. Any season. The lambs are there at the moment apparently. Jo has been my Pilates teacher for years. She's great but you would have great fun even if you've never done Pilates before. She has designed the exercises to fit the particular talents of the goat gang!!Visited December 2019Traveled with friendsWritten February 24, 2020

NOT HAPPY! to be clear i cancelled my booking due to the stress caused. Found out a lump on my face was Cancer and needed to get it removed. Tried to change our booking to a different day but was dealt with poor response/attitude/distinct lack of respect and told all bookings are final. I had paid £60 for myself and daughter for some quality time together. Dont waste your money! Give puppy yoga a try.

So different and such fun! Taking place on a lovely farm situated in attractive countryside just outside Edinburgh, the pygmy goats are sweet and cheeky, and obviously love interacting with people - as do their friends, the family dogs. Holly (the farmer) and Jo (the pilates teacher) are very friendly and welcoming and it was really nice to finish off with a herbal tea and home made biscuits in the garden after feeding the lambs! I went with a group of pilates colleagues but this would make a great birthday treat or hen party event.

Something really different to do. Great fun with friends. The farm is a gorgeous setting and the goats are cute and lively. Jo and Holly will make you feel really welcome and looked after. You can get some awesome photos with Mabel the goat clambering over you.

My friends booked this for me as a surprise for my birthday and it was so much fun! It soon became clear that it's more about the goats than the Pilates but that suited us fine!! Mabel was a total star and we couldn't stop laughing when she jumped up on our backs. Hope to come back again when there are even more little goats running around!

I had an amazing time at Pygmy Goats Pilates! The staff were friendly and very experienced (both in Pilates and goat handling 😂) and the goats were brilliant, so interested and friendly. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon doing something completely different!
