It was easy to get to Ocean terminal from the city centre by bus. When you arrive at Britannia you are given an audio tour to follow. We really enjoyed the tour and found it fascinating to hear how the royal family used the yacht and how the staff ran everything behind the scenes. You see the royal rooms but... More

Took a standard bus No 22 - cost of single £1.60 ( exact change needed ) The Yacht is in excellent condition and you get to see everything. It gives you an insight how the Royal family enjoyed sailing around the world. Staff are friendly and use of hand held commentary good ( included in entrance fee ). Really enjoyed... More

This visit had everything. Brilliant displays, informative and chatty audio, great atmosphere and a first class tea room on board. It seems odd to walk around a vessel so much loved by Her Majesty and I can quite understand why she was so sorry to see it go. However, it is now open to everyone and for me, is a... More

Pre booked tickets were great. Straight to the front of the queue. Audio tour included which was great. Interesting insight into the Royal Yacht and how it was used by the Royal family. Brings a whole new meaning to the exit via the gift shop! This attraction is accessed through a whole shopping centre. Not great views of the yacht... More

I wasn't sure what to expect but the tour around the yacht is brilliant, seeing rooms that we never thought we would see. This is a must if you go to Edinburgh.

After reading many of the reviews on TA we added this attraction to our must do list.We caught the local bus to Leith (@1 Pound 60) and the trip was around 30 mins. We followed the signs up through the shopping Centre arriving after 2 pm. (this gives you a 10% discount on the entry ticket.) The yatch was a... More

The entrance to the Britannia is located on the 2nd floor of a shopping mall located at the Ocean Terminal. There are elevators/lifts that take you to each level or you can use the stairs. You begin by going through a display area with some artifacts and memorabilia as well as history behind the vessel. Then you are given a... More
