I am a repeat customer with Craig's touring service and I will forever and always look to him to reveal the most breathtaking, undiscovered, well-known, and amazing places in Scotland! I have explored so many nooks and crannies with Craig and each adventure has had countless unique experiences and "a-ha" moments. Craig takes great care to learn his customers' preferences and interests and then at the drop of the hat, make adjustments so that no opportune experience is overlooked or passed by. Every aspect of every tour is so pleasant and worry-free. Craig can find appropriate and lovely lodging, he will ensure that all ferry and other transportation logistics are in place, and he knows all of the best places to stop for picturesque and delicious lunches and dinners! Craig provides a level of service that is outside the norm in this day and age. He is the kind of person who truly cares that your tour exceeds your expectations beyond your wildest dreams and he accomplishes this with natural good humor, grace and expertise. I can recommend Craig with no hesitation or caveats, whatsover. He is the very best of the best.

We re so thankful we found Craig on a travel blog. My husband, my son and I had an amazing 8 days in Scotland with Craig as our driver/guide. We gave him an idea of what we wanted to do and he created the perfect itinerary and booked all of our lodging and ferries. He picked us up in the morning on day 1 from Edinburgh airport, and we immediately started our tour. We spent one night in Pitlochry, 2 nights in Skye, one night in Oban, 2 nights in Islay, and our last day in Edinburgh. We covered everything we wanted to do and see. He also does tours in Ireland and the U.K. Unfortunately he was booked so we were not able to have him with us in Ireland.
Craig is very knowledgable, a great driver, an easy person to get along with and flexible with our plans.
I recommend him to my friends and family. I wish we could give him 10 stars!!

Craig was the best driver/guide that we have ever had. His local knowledge for facts and figures was outstanding and he made the most of our days visiting many places on both days that we were with him. His vehicle is a very comfortable 9 seater minibus ideal for a group such as ours of 7 people.
Cannot wait to have more tours visiting the beautiful scenery and towns of Scotland with this amazing guy and his kilt.

Craig provided our family of three adults with a delightful day from the moment he picked us up at the Greenock pier until the moment he returned us to our ship. We hired him as our tour guide to drive us from Greenock/Glasgow to Edinburgh on our Greenock port day, as we were more interested in seeing Edinburgh. He was in full Scottish attire when he met us, and that was a treat. He explained everything about his clothing to us, which was a lesson in itself. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful lowlands countryside as we drove across Scotland. Craig was a fount of information, and we learned so much along the way. When we arrived in Edinburgh, he drove us as close to the castle as possible. Thanks to him, we had pre-purchased our tickets. Had he not given us that bit of information before our cruise, we'd have missed out on the castle as it was sold out for the day. He told us where to meet him and at what time, and he was there on the dot. Craig provided insight on things to see downtown and would drop us off as close as possible, either waiting for us or returning to pick us up. One of the highlights we had not expected was a drive to a park high above the city where we could see both old and new Edinburgh. Craig walked all around the park with us and explained the sites. He has a great sense of humor and is very friendly. His vehicle was spotless and very comfortable. He was so gracious to answer all of our pre-booking questions, which was most appreciated. He constantly reiterated that it was "our" tour and "our" day, and he made sure we got to see and do all that we wanted, plus more. One of his strong suits is being able to know how much time to allot at each stop to maximize our day in port. I'm so glad we were able to book with Craig, and if we are ever in Scotland again, we will be sure to book our tour(s) with him. We not only had a great guide, but we also made a great new friend.

We hired Craig for a 4 day tour of Scotland. We were a group of 8 adults and his Mercedes Van was more than comfortable for us and our 8 carry on suitcases. Craig was funny and knowledgeable and drove us around safely! Our 4 days took us from Edinburgh to Loch Ness, Skye and then Glasgow. Craig is witty, educational and thoughtful. He responds quickly to any email, and his PayPal payment is safe and reliable. We will absolutely hire Craig again!

We had an outstanding tour with Craig throughout Scotland and Ireland. The total time touring was roughly 14 days. We were a party of 5. Craig booked all the hotel rooms and had each day planned. Craig took us to locations that larger tours could simply not accommodate.
Craig was extraordinarily knowledgeable and was able to point out interesting history or information at every location in both countries. The Highlands of Scotland were stunning in their beauty. Since we were a small group, we had opportunities to stay in smaller towns and smaller inns. Each location was unique in its own way. We were able to experience the smaller towns and even met a few of the locals in their pubs.
Ireland was the equal to Scotland in beauty, each country offering something different experience for the traveler. Craig always had different backup plans for each days events depending on weather conditions. Flexibility due to inclement weather is key. Thankfully, the weather was unseasonably good but I'm confident that Craig would have found wonderful locations for us to visit no matter the weather.

Craig Flynn was our private tour guide through Ireland and a small part of Scotland. He gave us the most amazing experience through out Ireland and into Scotland. His vast knowledge of the history of both countries was very interesting and he made everything come to life with his style of storytelling while weaving in so much humor. He also took us on the back roads tour while avoiding the crowds and tourist spots. He had so many wonderful recommendations for us which made the trip tailor made to our likes and preferences. Our experience was so personal and exceptional, I can hardly express it adequately. If we had tried to tour ourselves or go with a large tour bus group, no doubt we would not have had the exceptional experience that we had. The next time we go to the areas where Craig takes tour groups, we will not plan to go without Craig. By the time our tour ended, Craig seemed like a part of the family! If you want an amazing and exceptional vacation, go with Craig McCall Flynn of Mini Tours Scotland.

We had a 12 day trip that included everything from coastal towns to remote mountains to ancient cemeteries to dramatic island cliffs. Throughout, Craig demonstrated surprising knowledge, flexibility, patience, and sense of humor (a master of the groaner Dad joke!). Highly recommend giving him a call if you are heading to the UK.

Craig and I started planning a tour for my group of 4, 70+ year-olds in 10/23. I provided guidance on accommodations and must-see areas. Craig took off organizing/arranging. It was that simple. He sent us an itinerary, accommodations in 3/2024. Whenever I contacted Craig, he got back within 24 hours! From day 1 Edinburgh pick-up, we knew he was the right guide for us! With our first Craig-led walk at The Hermitage, there was no doubt our days with Craig would be super. We were glad (and felt safe) he was driving the narrow Scottish roads. We felt cared about when Craig walked through each accommodation making sure it was up to his standards, helped with luggage, each morning asked about our experiences with lodging and town. Each day's itinerary was a joint effort; Craig emphasized it was our trip, flexibility except when ferry involved. Craig loves Scotland; his knowledge of the land/history remarkable. His easy-going manner, jokes, and narrative/commentaries made the journey memorable. We toured Orkney, Isles of Lewis, Harris, Skye, area around Gourock. Craig McCall Flynn is a great, wonderful guide. We could not have asked for a better way to experience Scotland than being with Craig.

Craig provided the best experience we could ever hope for. We booked him for about 5 days across a three-week period. He's a walking encyclopedia about everything Scotland - all while chatting amicably as if we were merely discussing sports or the weather. When you spend that much time in a van together it's easy to think you'd run out of things to talk about. Never. Craig showed us off the beaten track amazing castles, beautiful scenery, and the expected mainstays. We learned so much, mostly due to his easy-going style and seemingly effortless way of always having something around the next bend to show us. My favorite thing he said: "oh, that's not that old. It only dates to the 1600s. This afternoon we'll see one that dates to the 1100s." Book Craig. You won't regret it. There's no better way to see Scotland.

I will be arriving via cruise on July 25th to Greenrock and would like to know if you do shore excursions.
It would be for myself and my friend.
We would be interested in a full day tour, but obviously need to be picked up and returned to the port within the time frame that we will be docked.
