It was freezing out and the weather was pretty bleak but had a lovely time on the tour with our guide - lots of quirky littly local tales and managed to cover a lot of the city in a short time !

Helen made our days in Edinburgh, she is a wonderful tour guide full of passion, great entertainer and such a great storyteller. Is a Free tour but she deserved the best, go with her and you will see shy. Don't miss the ghost tour we went on a graveyard to know facts about witches, murders, underground vaults and all the scary thing. It was very rainy night and she kept us so entertained and scared that we forgot the rain!!!!
They are a new company and I would really want to wish the best because they really rock. I recomend this tour to everyone!!!!
Now travelling in Spain and I really wish I could find a tour like that here!!!

We were extremely lucky: It turned out to be a private tour. Of ourse, on other days there will be more people taking part. We were a bit faster than bigger groups. Joe was a great guide, showed us everything interesting and important and answered all of our questions. The price of 7 GBP is reasonable for such a great tour. The best kick-off for our Edinburgh stay.

this tour was quite simply awful, being someone who lives in Edinburgh I thought it was about time i did one of these tours....i wish i'd gone to one of the other companys! bad story telling, inaccurate history and quite clearly set up to jump on the band wagon of ghost tours within the city and taking advantage of tourists who dont know much better....dont be fooled!

Our guide had not the personality, knowledge, or diction to be in such a role. He was plainly following a script but had virtually no breadth of knowledge. The script itself was also weak and did not successfully manage to weave a collection of disparate facts into a compelling and diverting narrative. There were plainly some factual errors: "..the wealthy lived at the tops of the tenement buildings" (supposedly to avoid human waste being thrown down into the street. Our guide was inexperienced and above all nervous and had not the exuberant personality needed for such a role. The Free Sandemann tour is probably much more informative and entertaining.

I did reserve 2 tours with them some days in advance cause I had very short time and wanted to make sure to enjoy the best...
I got confirmation via email about the meeting time and point. Just the afternoon before I left, I've been advised via email that the guide was not available anymore, sorry tour cancelled. I spent the whole afternoon looking for a solution but it was obviously too late. So i wrote again complaining about the lack of professionalism and the lack of alternative options as cancellation was not caused by me. Only after this email, i got informed that there was one free tour available.. unfortunately too little, too late...go for better options..

We are very sorry about having to cancel your italian walking tour.As we adviced you on our cancellation email was a health problem with our italian tour guide that we could not expect to happen, therefore that was the reason why you were adviced with such a short notice.Like health problems are out of our control is not a professional matter of the company. Not offering an alternative in the beginning was a matter of language as you are italian speaking and we could not think you would be interested in either an english or spanish walking tour. Once again, sorry for any incovenience.

I had a great tour of Edinburgh the tour guide was friendly and had a great flair, he made me and my family feel extremely welcome. The tour itself was informative and unearthed stories of the city I would never have otherwise known. Even my children who are often hard to entertain, throughly enjoyed it and the guide made sure they were included throughout.
Thankyou very much for a great day out!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour, we were looking for a ghost tour and these guys had a day time walking tour and a ghost tour at a great rate so we went on both, and were not disappointed. The guide was really friendly and local and advised us on the best pubs and restaurants around the city. Glad we took this tour as the scenery is great but the stories that our guide had behind the sites and monuments really made the difference.

I have done 2 of Peter's tours of Edinburgh - one of the city with some American friends and the other one his "Quintin Jardin" walking tour and they were both absolutely brilliant.
He really brings this beautiful city to life and his knowledge and story telling is second to none. All ages will be kept entertained.
I had never read a Quintin Jardine book before, but after his tour I was desperate to read one - and am now a complete fan!
Highly recommended - don't miss it when you are in Edinburgh - a great way to spend a few hours and get to know the city and it's history.

We signed up for the Sandemans free walking tour in Edinburgh and it was the best thing we could have done. I highly recommend it. Our tour guide was Australian Dave and he was so funny and informative that we felt like we were participating in a really unique introduction to this great Scottish city. Dave is a trained storyteller and the way he wove his tales made everything on the street so much more memorable. We had the best time! Definitely a must-do!
