Situated at the foot of The West Bow, Victoria Street. The West Bow or Bowfoot Well was erected in 1674 by Robert Milne. The well was part of Edinburgh's old public water system. The West Bow Well has a small iron door with the inscription- ''The West-Bow Well erected by The Town Council 1674. Repaired and Altered by Richardson Brothers Merchants West Bow 1861. It is four-sided architectural structure. It has a square base with a pyramidal roof .You can see coat of arms of Edinburgh in relief on the south side. Lovely.

The well at the end of the street if nothing out of the ordinary, but Victoria street with its pastel-colored shops and beautiful, panoramic terrace is definitely a must-see and a never-forget sight.
