I added a ticket to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the last minute before going and I am very glad I did. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Edinburgh is a very interesting city with its extensive history. Edinburgh Castle is a must. Just be ready to do a lot of walking (although public transportation by bus is readily available). The city was a jumping off place for a three day trip to the Isle of Skye which was also quite enjoyable. Easy transportation to Glasgow for a day trip was another plus.

There are three "Harry Potter" stores in Edinburgh. They are all wonderful to go into, but this one shines above the rest. Not so commercial, better quality, more fun.

Quirky little street with the link to Harry Potter. Don’t miss it. Small independent retailers including a fantastic Cheese shop and of course Number 40!

The staff at the store today 04th may was absolutely unprofessional, loud and disrespectful. We were about 3-4 customers on the first floor choosing products and viewing the store while the three staff ladies behind the counter were laughing full mouth like in a comedy show. Absolutely disrespectful and needs immediate management intervention.

We went to this store to find our granddaughters 9th Birthday presents and we weren’t disappointed. Store is a delight and the staff very nice. Great experience!

This was a wonderful stop off during a self-guided walking tour of Edinburgh. The space is small, though, so head early if you are looking to spend some time inside. (Otherwise you might have to queue!) Wonderful mixed collection of official and non-official Harry Potter merch, and an overall fun place just to look around. It's on a great and colourful street as well - we enjoyed looking at many shops along this route.

There are many places selling official merchandise and this place wins for us. If you want to buy the lambswool house scarf, GET IT HERE. It's 53 pounds everywhere else but just 35 pounds here. And you can buy a sew/iron on badge to go with it.

We went to all the HP shops and this place has the most unique merch (tote bags, wax seals, different shirt designs). Plus points for having more stock for houses that are not gryffindor.

BEST PART? The third floor has a photo taking booth with tons of props, robes, and house scarves. AND a mirror that says the chamber of secrets has been opened! You don't have to spend a cent. Highly recommend to drop by!

A small shop when busy will be cramped but still plenty on offer for harry Potter fans, found it to be a little expensive but was not surprised by it so be prepared. Staff polite and helpful so if you are a Potter fan th evisit is a must for you.

I found this wonderful little shop whilst on a free Harry Potter tour. The shop has a sign in the window which labels it as a stop for Harry Potter fans.

Due to my disability I only explored the bottom floor. As you walk in you are surrounded by Harry Potter merchandise (memorabilia, jewellery, notepads, wands, posters etc...). When you step through the doorway you are then introduced to a few more bits of memorabilia and more general magical items. I got an incredible item that I had wanted for a long time, a chronology bust which was more reasonably priced then expected. The staff couldn't do enough for me and the shop was just great! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of poor accessibility inside and the store.

If yoy are a Harry Potter fan you must visit this shop! It sells all kind of peoducts and merchandise but the best part is the top floor: you can wear the Hogwarts uniform and sorting hat and play with Edvige...and all for free!! Just remember to close ypur eyes when you meet the basilisc 🐍
