Fantastic park
May 2021
We stayed at the Saughton Suite Apartment in May. The park was a short walk along the Water of Leith. There were plenty of things to do, for adults and children. The gardens were lovely gardens and the skate park was amazing. Highly recommend visiting.

What a lovely place...
Apr 2021 • Family
This is a GREAT local resource. Great walks, lovely blossom trees, clearly well-stocked borders, it's good even now, with flowers still mostly to come through - it'll be glorious in summer.
Cafe is open (for takeaway and subject to current restrictions) - greenhouses aren't, yet.

Edinburghs hidden gem
Jan 2021 • Couples
We regularly walk our dogs here is that we've discovered it. Firstly the park is massive, there are sporting facilities, a large children's playground, skate park and outdoor gym equipment, all with views towards Murrayfield and Edinburgh castle, and Pentlands to the north. Once you've seen the park then there is the walled gardens. Dogs are allowed on lead, and there is rose gardens, sunken garden, bandstand and the garden bistro, a great place to stop for some food and drinks. If you are lucky you can see otters in the Water of Leith that runs along the edge.

I had a great time wandering around the garden. Lots of nice quiet spaces and beautiful flowers. It is free too which is great.

Park with many facilities
Aug 2020
I was very impressed with the gardens and the many borders with much of the flowers in bloom. In addition there is a large area with activities such as a skatepark and grassy areas as well as a cafe.

Nice quick walk

We were visiting the skatepark just in front of this gardens and we decided to go in and check. Nice gardens for a wee walk. There’s also a cafe to sit down and relax.

Peaceful retreat
Mar 2020 • Family
The gardens are not at their best at this time of year and the new cafe has yet to open however it's still a wonderful place to escape for a peaceful walk. The gardeners were busy preparing various beds and I can't wait for the warmer weather to arrive to allow us to enjoy the wonderful rose garden.
