About
Our themed whisky tasting events regularly take place in and around Edinburgh and our drams always speak for themselves. There’s no whisky snobbery here. Just a relaxed environment to enjoy some delicious drams with people who, if not your friends when you start, will be by the time you leave. If you're looking for a bespoke tour, visiting Scotland's whisky distilleries, we can create whisky experiences for everyone, from the whisky novice to the connoisseur. We also arrange walking tours of Leith, celebrating the port's whisky heritage by way of a few 'blast from the past' drams!

Neighborhood: New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.

Off The Beaten Track Secret Whisky Experience
There are various whisky experiences in Edinburgh - many are main stream & corporate. If you want something a little bit different delivered by a knowledgeable local then this is for you!! I have now been to in excess of 10 whisky tastings organised by Justine and am impressed by her depth of knowledge on both current whiskies & distilleries and the history of the whisky industry in Scotland. Her gentle and informed delivery and presentation should give novices confidence to try her tours & tastings. She also encourages audience participation & contributions so the whisky buffs , of which there are many, get to share their insights & opinions too! Recommended for tours & tastings !! A really excellent independent whisky tour
A group of us recently did a walking whisky tour with Justine, she was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, funny and not phased by anything including the ‘colourful locals’. We all had a great time and found her tour really engaging, with the whisky at the end a real bonus and tailored to the tour. I would certainly recommend this tour, even if you know about whisky you will learn something from Justine.

Lovely walking whisky tour of Edinburgh
Fantastic walking tour with Justine. History of whisky (and brewing) of Edinburgh with someone who knows her stuff. I’d challenge anyone to find someone more knowledgeable about this stuff. And she knows her whisky as well; she has many whisky walks/tours/events that she runs. I promise you you won’t be disappointed!

    Leith Whisky Walk
This is a really unique Whisky experience for anyone who is interested in Whisky History, culture and tasting fab Whiskies - mostly unavailable. I attended Justine’s Whisky walk with friends last Friday night and can not recommend it enough. There is an incredibly rich Whisky history within Leith, often forgotten and Justine is really keeping the spirit alive. Her knowledge is incredible and I learned so much from this experience. We were guided through the fascinating streets of Leith as Justine brought the stories of Leith’s rich Whisky to life. But the real highlight was the extraordinary flight of Leith heritage blends that we were introduced to in a fantastic local pub at the end of the evening. Loved meeting Justine and making a few other Whisky friends along the way. Highly recommend Indeed.

    Birthday Whisky Tour Success
Fantastic. (See photo for proof of good day out!) My gf, my sister and her bf all attended the tour as part of my birthday celebrations. We all had a super time and enjoyed a fair bit of phenomenal whisky after the really informative tour by Justine. Amiable, knowledgeable and gregarious, she put on a great tour. I would definitely go again and recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of Edinburgh, enjoys a bit of history and a lot of whisky...
Thanks for the kind words Ben. I'm glad you had a great birthday and hope the BBQ later on went well. Cheers, Justine

    Knowledgeable Leith Whisky Tour
We really enjoyed the tour with Justine. She managed the very variable knowledge of the group well - probably her teaching experience. Really knowledgeable and engaging tour of Leith with local landmarks and history rounded off with a few good sized 'hand poured' drams and no sense that we'd be rushed thorugh the tasting. Thoroughly recommended if you have a couple of hours and don't have to drive afterwards!
So glad you enjoyed your visit to the Costa del Leith! Haste ye back. Slainte, Justine

This Whisky tasting was a really neat idea
The event I attended back In July 2015 was for Wine & Chocolate, I had my reservations at first as I am not a big fan of most coca based products however I was very surprised to find out that mixing whisky with chocolate now makes perfect sense. Justine who hosted the event did a truly fantastic job, so much I am now opening my mouth whenever I smell whisky (smelling technique). The fact that we covered so many whiskeys that I had never even heard of that really opened my eyes to what was available in the market. First there was Jesus, then there was Justine. What I am basically saying that we did a really super job and clearly explained each whisky and how it complements the chocolate. I would happily attend another tasting session with no hesitation of not being entertained.

    Memories of Leith
Went on the Leith Whisky walk last Friday. Absolutely fascinating. So many of the old bonds and bottling plants still exist - albeit now converted into flats. It brought back so many memories of the days when my father worked in the industry in Leith for 50 years. Then to the Bowlers Rest for selection of "heritage" blends. The icing on the cake for me was VAT 69 in the old Benedictine bottle from the early '60's. The tour guide, Justine, really knows her stuff. Highly recommended.
