Meadowbank Antique Fair once a month, see web site for dates.
Aug 2017 • Friends
If you are into Gold, Silver, Postcards, Jewellry, infact any articles at all the Antique Fair which is held at the Meadowbank Stadium once a month is a must see. It is indoors so you don't have to worry about the weather. Opposite is a popular food outlet if you get peckish after viewing all the wonderful Stalls with their exciting range of items. You are bound to pick up a Bargain.

Above average councilesqu gym
Oct 2016 • Solo
The gym is split into a number of areas downstairs is tge main sports halls for specific clubs and a great spit and sawdust heavy metal gym including power decking a squat rack some free standing bar support arms. And a range of dumbells. Tired but does the job.
Upstairs is a more classical gym much more vibrant with a collection of treadmills cycling machines, two dual pullies a selection of heavy dumbbells and two sets of lite bells one power deck with a squatrack and three adjustable benches, and a set of kettlebells upto 32kg.
Other facilities include spin studio.
Running track, large and small studio archery rang and fencing sal.
Cafe and gymnastic Hall.

Its OK
I usually go there for a trip to the gym and its decent but its a bit old. Some of the staff can be a bit rude at times but the rest of them are informative. There is also a small cafe there and you can buy Sandwichs and stuff like that there.

Tour of the grounds
Oct 2016 • Couples
Visited here on our wee tour of the Scottish football grounds. This is home of Edinburgh City FC and the club officials were very welcoming. Only the main stand is open on match days and is accessed from London Road. The stadium itself was built for the 1970 Commonwealth Games and is truly looking its age.
It is not the best place to watch football from, with a running track surrounding the pitch, but there are no restricted views from the stand and we were able to ignore the running track as the game went on.
There was not much of an atmosphere, due to the small crowd, but there was a friendly sort of feel to the place especially in the concourse under the stand where food, hot drinks and club souvenirs are sold.
We chose to travel by train and the ground is easy to find from Waverley Railway Station, down past the Playhouse Theatre, and next right along London Road. It took us about 25 minutes to walk, but there is public transport available with bus services passing the ground.
Overall a dated stadium but with decent views of the pitch.
