Crafty tours offers a great opportunity to explore Edinburghs Craft scene with a passionate guide. Apart from trying a delicious and varied number of different beers (and gin), I learned a lot about the process of brewing which I really enjoyed. I definetly recommend this tour :)

I set out to learn exactly what kind of beer I like. And I did. This tour is informative, full of sensory experiences and involves a nice bit of walking around beautiful Edinburgh. I received a thorough brewing education, sampled a ton of beer (and some lovely gin as well) and couldn't eat all the tasty food at our final destination. I thought this Crafty Tour was fantastic value and highly recommend it.

What a fantastic tour ...not only did we get to try out some great craft beer and gin but our guides told us lots of interesting facts about the city and made some fantastic recommendations. An overall great day out and we got to visit some places that otherwise we may of never got to. Highly recommended!!

My partner and I took the brew & still tour with crafty tours on Saturday and had an absolute blast. Dan the tour guide is very friendly, knows his stuff and definitely made the experience memorable.
The tour itself is a great mix of venues including an american style bottleshop/pub, a brewery across from a gin distillery and a brewpub. we spent a bit of time in each venue trying different drinks, learning about the history of each venue, the distinct style of beers, and trying some very very nice gin!
I had only hear of one of the venues we visited before we took the tour, and was very pleasantly surprised by all of them. I'll definitely be visiting at least a couple of them again in the near future when I'm back in Edinburgh.

Had the luck to book the first tour of the year with Dan and it was a very chilled, very fun day out.
We visited a number of different bars that were all fantastic in their own right.
I loved how the day combined bars with a brewery and a distillery tour. Each place Dan took us to was friendly and ready to answer our questions (even the inane ones!).
Dan and his partner Alicia were legends! Very friendly and professional couple.
Highly recommended!

Took a medium sized work group along to one of Dan's tours for a fun team bonding session.

All I can say is that it was nothing short of excellent, Dan was extremely friendly and a consummate professional.

He has really researched his tour stops well and all guests were extraordinarily well looked after.

Will be booking another tour again as soon as possible and would definitely recommend to everyone.

Highly recommend this tour! Im a solo traveller and found this was an awesome way to meet a cool group of people and discover a few secret gems in Edinburgh. We went to a gin distillery and brewery but my favourite definitely had to be the Salt Horse, I found my self back there a few times after the tour! It was a good size group, by the end we were all chatting away over a few drinks. Even when the tour ended we continued to hang out! Dan - the tour guide really knows his stuff and he takes the time to get to know the group. This tour has being the highlight of my UK trip, this is my second time in Scotland but this tour made me feel a bit more like I was seeing it through the eyes of a local!

Came through Edinburgh for a trip this summer and am so glad I spent one of my few afternoons on this tour! I really enjoyed every part of it, especially as a food writer AND someone who really likes to see a city by foot. Dan was a fantastic guide because he seemed to really appreciate the local scene, and he knew each venue's staff, offerings, and neighborhood really well. The people in all of the bars were awesome and we were clearly in the hands of knowledgeable people all day.

On top of drinking great booze (and a lot of it), this was just a really great social experience and helped me meet new people AND experience a few bars that I could go to later on my trip without having to visit a bunch of duds (Andrea Usher was my fave, will definitely spend time there in the future!)

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Ireland and Scotland. Such an awesome way to see parts of the city not everyone thinks to see and meet great people along the way! Our tour guide Dan made everyone feel welcome and kept everyone involved. Oh, and let's not forget the beverages...plenty to go around and something for everyone. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and authentic experience in Edinburgh!

Dan who took us around the city was a highly knowledgeable guide who was full of information and laughs. He made me feel very welcome, even travelling on my own.

We visited many hidden gems around Edinburgh that were very generous with their samples!

The tour had a very personable touch without feeling touristy.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to explore the real craft scene in Edinburgh.

It will not leave you thirsty, that's for sure!!
