A gem of a museum
Nov 2021
What a little gem this museum really is.
.
The staff/volunteers greeted us and were happy to show us round and explain any of the exhibits that we wanted some more information about.

A very high standard of exhibits, kept clean and polished to an exemplary standard. Would be very hard to find any dust on them!

On the day of our visit, the main hall featured an exhibition of the Rover car company, but we understand that the theme changes.

Audio-visual information was used appropriately and sensitively, a credit to this museum's staff.

The very best thing about such a museum was that not only was it about historical transport, but it also gave space to considering the possible developments of transportation into the future.

A museum of the future, seen through the past. Very well done and a credit to all of the volunteers who maintain and extend the museum.

Worth a visit.

Nice museum spread over 3 halls. The kids loved going in the old bus, driving the fire engine, sitting in the miniature bus, and playing with the train set. They regularly change the first hall. The first time I was there, they had a Ford exhibition and this time it was Rovers.

One of the best museums we've visited
Oct 2021
This is a brilliant day out. There is so much to see and do and such of variety of exhibits. It covers all modes of transport - road, rail, air, cycling, trams, buses and ideas of what future transport might be like. It has a horse-drawn tram and a replica of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The exhibition on the Tay Bridge disaster was really interesting, giving a real sense of the human tragedy and you can see actual fragments of the old bridge.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, lovely cafe, shop selling reasonably priced toys and souvenirs, all round great value.

Fantastic place
Oct 2021
My first visit to this place and boy was it good... The staff are fantastic, very friendly and very knowledgeable. They all seemed happy and pleased to be there and enjoyed talking about the vehicles . Information boards are well placed and very informative. The exhibits are in excellent condition and well displayed. Apparently the exhibits change frequently so there is almost always a new vehicle/display to view. I will definitely be back...
