Lovely to wonder around for all ages, lots of seating places for the ones with advance time in their bones. Mum loved this place we always went there if the weather was good and have a ice cream and watch the flowers, birds and bees going around. The pace to have a break from the hustle and bustle of life... More

The Barnhill Rock Gardens are very well maintained by volunteers. I usually pass them at least once a week throughout the year as I stay nearby. There are several benches dotted around the gardens, a lovely place to relax, weather permitting.

A peaceful oasis, out of the wind with fresh plants to try and identify. Sea views, room for the kids to run and play. This is how public park should be, they even provide seats and picnic benches. My local council should take lessons.

This is a must-visit place, especially in summer. It's an open, landscaped garden with plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the views and the plants, and plenty fo room for kids to run around. The planting is well thought-out and the volunteers do an amazing job of looking after it all and keeping it looking beautiful for all... More

On what was an unseasonably grey and blustery day, we visited Barnhill Rock garden and enjoyed a feast for the senses. The array of colours and perfumes really cheered up this dull day. What impressed most was the sheer number of bumble bees busy harvesting nectar from the variety of blooms on show. Although it was rather chilly for July,... More

A beautiful garden, well maintained and full of interesting plants. A great end to a walk along the estuary front, or you could just go and sit down to read, as it is so peaceful. Clearly a labour of love by all the volunteers who have created this. Also uplifting - people who go there are positive and friendly -... More
