Beautiful views from the top ( 171m). I was there on a sunny day but the fog was covering the Tay estuary and rolling in to the city centre. It is a good workout walking up from the city centre as the climb can be steep in places

Fantastic. Learn all about how jute is grown in India and why it then came to Dundee and became such an important industry. The Verdant Works was built in 1833 and by 1864 had 70 power looms and 2,800 spindles and was employing 500 workers involved in spinning and weaving jute. The industry employed 50,000 in the city at its peak. By 1889 though this mills time as a true textile works is over. The staff are friendly and helpful and it was lovely to see some of the machines working and be able to ask questions. See the architecture of the building from the viewing platforms and enjoy the different displays and the mighty 1801 steam beam engine. There's also a lovely cafe and gift shop though it would have been good to see some more jute made items. We got a combined ticket with Discovery which made it extra good value. Free parking next door for visitors.

Fabulous views. We were there on a clear day and you could see for miles. You can walk up (there are plenty of benches dotted about). Being disabled we drove up the winding road. The views took your breath away. There are plenty of signs to point out loads of landmarks and to help you get your bearings in the city. We'll worth a detour out of the city.

This is IMAO a “must do” if you’re visiting Dundee, as the views over the city and surrounds are 🤩 fabulous. You can clearly see both of the iconic bridges over the Tay to Fife as well as the rolling hills of the kingdom, and the fertile Angus countryside behind and beyond. The circular drive up is an experience, and it’s an enjoyable longish hike up/down too. The Law is the remains of an ancient volcano , and it’s height is 174 metres making it the highest point within the city. Whilst up there you couldn’t miss the imposing war memorial at the summit, and the communications tower. There’s some seating areas , a parking bay, information boards dotted about, and plenty of natural wildflower areas scattered about, which in turn attract wildlife. Take note though - it’s almost always 🌬 breezy up there.

You can drive to the top, a few parking spaces available. Fabulous views along the Tay.
It was very windy and cloudy, so the views were not at their full extent, but you can see for miles. There are view point info boards to help you.
The memorial at the top to commemorate those who died in ww1 is very clean and even though it was very windy, felt peaceful.
There are toilets situated at the base of the road way leading up.

We worked our way up the hill by car to the top of Dundee. The 360 degree view is excellent. It wasn’t the best of days so we would recommend a visit on a clear sunny day. Really worth a visit. Only downside is that the route is not very well signposted. We just headed up.

We walked from the City centre and found our way easily enough after checking the route online before setting off. (I'd read previous reviews saying it was difficult to find.) It was a bit of a workout for me to get to the top but the husband and son did it without breaking sweat. We did see people arrive in their cars right up at the top but I'd say go before lunch because there isn't much parking space and it was getting busy by 12 noon.
The views made the climb worthwhile and the wildlife topped the experience off completely. We had rabbits scurrying around as we made our way up and a pair of fabulous buzzards greeted us at the top.

If you want a spectacular view of the city go up the Law Hill. It’s right in the centre of the city and you have a fantastic all round view. On a clear day you can see the fife coast stretching all the way to the North Sea. There are few parking spaces at the top and a great place to have your lunch

Well worth a visit on a clear day. The views of Dundee and the surrounding area are spectacular. It's really popular on a good day, and there are only a few benches but plenty of grassy areas to spread a blanket.
