It’s about a kilometre to walk round Clatto and is a great place to walk the dogs. The blue green algae seems to have gone for the time being which is a bonus as our dogs like to swim. They used to have all sorts of activities on the water but there seems to be nothing now.
There are toilets which come in very handy.

Nice wee walk for a change and something different to see. There is a small pond you can walk round and there is also a part of forestry you can walk along. Nice area for somewhere different to wander through.

Good place to go for walk with dog at north side of Dundee. Pleasant walk around reservior or alternately can make use of the grass exercise area or trails and paths off into the woods. Our lab enjoys walks too :-)

Somewhere to escape to. Peaceful when we were there but maybe wouldn't be in summer. Plenty of parking - you wouldn't know you were so near a city. Now that I have been reminded about it can't wait to go back

Clatto Country Park great for a walk round the reservoir or to continue into the many trails in Templeton Woods. There is a play area with swings, a shute and other things for kids. Its a beautiful location.

Nice wee city reservoir, lots of tracks for walking or cycling and many of these go through the adjoining Templeton Woods. Track around the reservoirs nice for strolling or jogging around.
Nice spot to escape city life

Visited Clatto Country Park this afternoon with my wife. We actually parked at Templeton Woods and walked from there.
This was a nice peaceful walk, even although the weather conditions were not at their best!
The park offers a large green area, paths, woodland and a large reservoir.
The reservoir interested us the most. We were intrigued to learn that the reservoir was created as part of Dundee's water supply in 1874. However, it is no longer connected to the supply network. The reservoir is fairly large, covering 24 acres. It is located in a very serene setting with a level path going all the way around the reservoir. There were two swans when we visited today, guarding their five cygnets. Numerous ducks were to be seen too. We did notice, however, during our visit, that there were numerous signs up warning of a Blue Green algae problem and warning people and dog walkers not to go in the water or let their animals in the water.
All in all, we really enjoyed this picturesque walk and setting though, and would recommend.
