Visited the museum yesterday for the second time in 2 weeks. Have enjoyed my visits. Unfortunately the size of the building doesn't allow for the amount of exhibits the museum would like to display. An interesting place. Definitely recommend a visit.

Amazing place, don't miss the stuffed animals, how times have changed, thankfully :-). Free admission, just round the corner from bakery for scotch pies.

Very helpful staff and all the local registers. If you have family from Kirkcudbright, this place is a must. The museum itself is also worth some time to check out the eclectic collections.

We needed to find out information about local parishes and cemeteries, so we visited the museum and found what we needed. The women that worked there provided us with copies of gravestone inscriptions which led us to my ancestors place of burial.
