The grandchildren enjoyed the dinosaur exhibition, also the brass rubbing. For a ‘compact’ museum it’s full of Kirkcudbright history, we’ll worth a visit.

This is a lovely museum with lots of local history and a great dinosaur exhibition for the children. There is so much to see here that you easily lose track of time. I would recommend everyone to visit this museum.

The collection goes from prehistoric to 20th century artefacts, huge collection of birds' eggs and stuffed animals. We needed more than 1 visit to examine it all.
