This was average at best. We ordered two steaks for £18.99 each. They weren’t very good steaks. Over cooked on the outside, not rested and the plate was thrown together. The sauce (another £2.49!) was essentially out of a packet (Colemans I would have at a guess). The steak was chewy and fatty, not what you expect from a sirloin at nearly £20 each. The only cider they had was out of a can, which wasn’t great either. You expect at least a draught at a pub. When we went to pay we commented to the member of staff that it wasn’t the best steak, it wasn’t great. They said and I quote “at least you ate”. If wanted to just eat, I’d have gone to McDonalds! Overall, we were left disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place. At best, the steak was a £10 steak and that’s probably pushing it.

Me and a lot of friends came up to gretna for my friends wedding.
We went in the Gretna inn on friday and from the beginning we was welcomed by friendly staff.
We all had a great time with great food and drink.
On the Saturday we spent most of the day in the Grena inn for the wedding.
Same again, everything was great.
Same staff doing long hours but still very happy to be there with us.
We will definitely be coming up again when the weather is better.
A big thank you to Adele and Del for the great hospitality all weekend.

We always stop off at this pub when we’re on our way up to the highlands. The staff are always friendly and though we usually sit outside on the benches, this time it was a bit chilly so we were able to bring our dog in within a certain area.

There’s a car park on site but the outlet car park is just over the road too.

Will be popping back in on our way home more than likely

Very easy to find with adequate parking.Inside its a fairly basic pub but we did get a warm welcome.Only wanted a sandwich which were both very freshand well filled.Despite being the middle of the day had run out of brown bread. Overall we would stop there again either for a snack or a meal as the menu looked fine and prices good.

Spent 3 nights at the Gretna Inn, we were married at Gretna Green during our stay and had a wonderful time. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious with comfy beds, our dog Millie also had a brilliant time and was spoilt with treats from the staff. The breakfasts were excellent and filled us up for the day, we ate each evening in the resturant where the food was delicious, plentyful and very good value...nice pint of Stella too!!!!! Thank you Iain and all of your hard working staff (and Katy the dog) for a fantasitc stay, we will definatley return on our next visit to Scotland.

Terrible service and the food was average at best. Such a shame as the establishment was pleasant. The waitress who served us had terrible customer service and clearly did not want to be there. It wasn’t only our table with poor service it was the surrounding tables also. The food was slightly overpriced however this wouldn’t have been a problem if the service was adequate.

Came here for lunch following a long trip up. Some good choices on the menu however we decided on the ‘shoppers lunch’ which included a tasty chunky vegetable soup of the day, sandwich of choice with a side of chips. Eyes were definitely bigger than our bellies but it was definitely substantial and inexpensive.
Staff were friendly, polite with a nice table service manner adhering to the current Covid rules. Would eat here again and would make a detour off the motorway purposely to eat here - there’s also plenty of parking as it’s opposite the Gretna shopping outlet.

We popped in to The Gretna Inn for a quick lunch with our puppy and our friends, while visiting Gretna.

We all opted for a meal deal which included soup, sandwich and chips. The food and service was great, and there is plenty of space outside for dog owners to sit with their furry friends.

Would recommend.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was very tired bathroom very small nowhere to put anything no where to even hang the towel. Mirror too high and too small I couldn't use it. Very disappointed as booked via website which clearly states B&B £70 but we were told on arrival it was £85 . Very small time slot for breakfast 7.30 - 8.30 . Quite early when on a break.

People in this pub have no idea of service with a smile. Stoped for a lunch, ushered to a table. They did not seem to want us at the bar for some reason. Young lady serving did the bare minimum to get drinks and food to us. Not the slightest hint of personality or a smile. Food was OK at a reasonable price. Sign on the door, no dogs. Bloke asked if dog could come in and told yes. If we had known this we wouldn't have bothered. Would I go there again?, definitely not.
