Lovely place for half a day, great play park, cafe and paths for walking. Our family particularly enjoyed the mini golf which along with the trampolines was immaculate, great value and run by a friendly guy. Toilets available too.

Beautiful Park, so well-maintained. The bandstand and bowling hut are very traditional and immaculately kept. The prices for playing are very reasonable. we enjoyed the mini golf and the banter with the green keeper. Dog enjoyed her walk too.

Visited here on Friday after googling places for children in Dumfries. It was amazing! Brilliant park, lovely river walk, trampolines (although closed due to Covid), cafe by the river and mini golf (again closed due to Covid). Toilets available, which were very clean. Such a lovely visit, highly recommend 😊

We have walked over the bridge but never walked far enough previously. Lovely old mill across the river. Islands for the birds. An idyllic place to walk. Lots of folk with their cameras, for wildlife and views of river and town.

This is a decent park running alongside the River Nith - something to watch out for if you've younger kids, or are kicking a football about!
A good kids play area, a bandstand, and plenty of grass and trees all make this a pleasant area to wander through even when the weather is not great.
Outside of Covinavirus season, there is mini-golf available, and a centre selling ice-cream etc. (with toilets inside).

I went to this park as a Kiltwalk Pop Up volunteer. I had visited Dumfries before but never went into the park. WOW. What a nice park adjacent to the river and lots of nice walks. Attractive bandstand. The Kiltwalk was the first and attended by 500 walkers and some with dogs. Hope it will be repeated in yours to come. Cafe on site. Most of the walks are on flat walkways. Plenty of grass areas to picnic in good weather. Toilets on site and free. I will re- visit when next in the area.
