Lovely place with lots to do in good weather plus a fantastic cafe/restaurant area. Our two grandsons love it with the hens, etc to view.

On a bright sunny day in the Borders of Scotland we visited Kelzie Gardens and what a gem it is. Immaculate. Colourful and very peaceful. Lovely café and a play area for children. Well worth a visit. There is also a possibility of seeing an Osprey on site.

Gardens were lovely, and nicely kept. Didn't go to the tea room but it looked nice. The tadpoles in the fountain pond were a huge hit and the less formal gardens were also interesting. The kids playground was not amazing but alright for twenty minutes. We did the putting which was fun and the sight of our 4 yo and... More

I've visited the cafe at Kailzie Gardens quite a few times over the years and it is great to see it still producing great food. Under new management now, the focus is definitely more on cafe rather than restaurant. The menu on offer is small but tempting and based around seasonal produce. They have got homemade soups which are different... More

What a wonderful morning spent at Kailzie Gardens. 24 members from the NVS visited and had a wonderful visit. What a delightful place. Lady Hepburn and her head gardener gave us a guided tour around the gardens and greenhouses. They are so passionate and knowledge about their gardens. We just wished we had more time to spend there. This is... More

We. decided to try this familiar place now new management are in place. We ordered 2cappucinos and 1 fruit scone to share! On arrival the cappuccinos resembled nothing we had seen anywhere before! Obviously their idea of this was a cup of filter coffee. with some warm milk poured on top! I think some chocolate sprinkles had been attempted and... More

Very sorry about your cappuccinos and scones - wish we'd known as, generally, the staff have great barrista skills so we would have replaced them. Glad for the feedback though and perhaps we can offer you a better coffee on the house next time?? Mary and Fin More

£5 each to get in, thought that was expensive for what it was. Nice walled garden. Thought would have lunch at the coffee shop but disappointed with the choice. Tried a cherry sort of cheesecake which was horrible, the malteser cake was nice. Had plants for sale but no one to advise on them.

Sorry you didn't like the ricotta pie - it's been a bit of a hit with other customers but if it was described as a cheesecake, in the more conventional sense, we can understand it might not have appealed. We do a nice regular cheesecake! Mary and Fin More

We made a detour to here hoping to see the Ospreys.. We were disappointed when we got there at 10am to be told the volunteers didn't open 'til 12. I have looked but cannot find that info. I apologise if info does exist.
