Good view of Oban, whether is day time or night time. Spend about 1.5 hours walking from Oban town center and back.

Worth the walk up the hill. Brilliant little windows of viewpoints on the walk up. Great to read the history of the tower and walk around the interior. It gives another aspect to oban and the tower is lit up in the evening.... maybe not...More

What a fantastic view over Oban Harbour and you will be surprised at the history. Didn't expect that. Oban is one of the loveliest towns in Scotland and have awesome fish and chips.

Takes a bit of stamina to walk up to this monument but worth it to see brilliant stone masonary and the surrounding views

Provided a lovely view of Oban, but it is just a strange relatively modern monument, and not some ancient ruins like you might expect.

Interesting place. What were his intentions when he started to build it? Why didn’t his wife carry on with the building? The walk there isn’t easy if you’re not too mobile, but the views once you are there are worth it. Oban is a lovely place...More

It's at the top of a hill and think we probably took the steepest route. You can drive up there as well.
