We walked up the streets to the tower on a wet February day and were the only people there for about 20 minutes. Landscaping is good - it would be nice if there was just 1 place where you could shelter from the rain - a bandstand in the middle would be good.

Not much to see except the stunning view. Allow 10 mins to see it all. Not great on a wet rainy day.

Took the steep trek up to the tower during a break in the crazy February weather. This is a must for anyone visiting Oban and fit enough to walk up the hill. Provides some of the best views. Enjoyed the walk downhill better though!😜

Stayed just below mccaigs tower in a b&b so had a poodle round - nice to have a look at the history of the town - potentially best part of the town

Definitely worth the climb to have a view of the city from above. Lovely place, well maintained. At night is lit with colour lights, and looks majestic.

We made the short walk up the fairly steep hill to check out this local folly as it had been over forty years since I had last been. I'm delighted to say that it has been improved over the years with the addition of landscaping, seating and a viewing point.

Interesting place. The views are very good. And then you head down again into Oban. All in all, worth it. We followed the Oban Town Walk which included the Tower.

McCaig's Tower is a lovely viewpoint of Oban. You can drive-there's a small carpark- but why not test yourself and walk up. It is about 3 city blocks' walk, at a steep enough pitch for most of it to be like climbing stairs. You walk through a lovely victorian neighborhood with pretty gardens and friendly dogs. The view of the... More

Today me and my family went a stroll up the tower. The perfect day as the weather was glorious. From the train station in Oban we found the way quite easily and walked there in under 20 minutes with a 7 year old and a 4 year old. The tower is stunning and the views are amazing. Just watching the... More

It is up the back streets of Oban and is well signposted and has a large car park. We enjoyed the views over Oban and the isles but needed to stay only a few minutes. I loved this place but it's a quick visit place and filled twenty minutes before getting the Mull ferry. Worth a look!
