Can't recommend enough it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, golden eagle chicks in their nest surrounded by the breath taking landscape of Glen Shira which including seeing the ruins of the house where Rob Roy lived under the protection of the Duke of Argyll. Tom is such a character and so enthusiastic we had such a laugh and he is incredibly knowledgable.

Had a terrific day with Tom and the beautiful surroundings of Glen Shira, Tom’s engagement and knowledge was second to none and we were lucky enough to see, amongst other incredible wildlife, golden eagle chicks on the nest, golden eagles, osprey and numerous deer including young deer fawn. Tom’s Knowledge and use of modern optical equipment including a drone ensured we got the best opportunity and experience of viewing any presenting wildlife . We were also accompanied by Tom’s dogs Jock and Ruby and even managed to gleam some training tips for our own dogs. Fantastic day will definitely do again, We met Tom as strangers in the morning and left in the afternoon as friends. Thanks again Tom for an unforgettable day.

I simply cannot recommend this enough. I grew up on a Yorkshire farm, so have always been used to seeing wildlife, but it's nothing close to what you'll experience on a trip with Tom. We met Tom just off the main road into Inveraray, then followed him down to a parking spot. From there we were straight into it, heading up the glen and climbing higher whilst Tom shared his expert local knowledge. Within minutes, we had pulled over as Tom had spotted red deer on the hillside. Tom had a number of optics on hand to help us feel as though we were in touching distance. The scenery itself is well worth the trip, you NEED to turn and look back down the glen to the Loch - it's something you won't regret and a view you'll see nowhere else. As we started along a less travelled path, Tom began telling us of the Sea Eagles which nested nearby. As he was telling the tale of a local Osprey, we turned a corner to be greeted by a Sea Eagle, just sat by the roadside. It took off just metres from the vehicle and you got a true sense of its size and power with the 6ft wingspan just in front of your face! Whilst watching the mating pair circle nearby, Tom was able to show us a previous nest and we heard several Stag's calling as the rut began to get underway. An amazing experience with a host who makes you feel like you're old friends - so good we went back again in the same trip! Thank you, Tom - will be seeing you again in November!
