Glamis Castle is located about 1hr 15min driving South of Aberdeen. You can have a lunch there and buy some souvenirs. Ticket included about 1hr guided tour inside castle and you can also have a walk outside watching beautiful gardens. We recommend to go there and see it. Ps. I think that the most value part of this castle are... More

Don't know how much it cost to enter because it was included in our Lochs & Glens Royal Scotland holiday. I'm not a huge museum person, but, my goodness if you get a good guide, who really enjoys their work, well our lady made the Castle come alive. She was so knowledgeable, obviously enjoyed her job and was so interesting... More

Second visit to Glamis Castle and it was a great day out. We joined the tour of the castle and were given lots of information about its past including the ghost stories. The walks through the woods and gardens were also very enjoyable and it was perfect weather for it. Also had lunch at the cafe which had very nice... More

One of Scotland's Gems to behold. An interestinigly displayed castle in beautiful and varied grounds. I joined a guided tour of the castle interior that took about forty minutes. The guide was excellent and held everybody's attention. The entrance fee was well worth the price. The Strathmore family have on display many insensely personal artifacts belonging to the royal family. This... More

A well maintained Castle with lots of interesting history and the home of the late Queen Mother. We attended the Glamis Proms and enjoyed the evening along with hundreds if others dressed for a typical cool Scottish evening

A lot of great history at the childhood home of the Queen Mum. The guided tour was interesting and our guide, Greg, was very enthusiastic and entertaining.

This a a fully functioning castle with the Earl living in the private quarters (though you don't get to see them). The home of the current Queen's maternal grandmother, this is a wonderful experience and a should-visit.The tour itself tells us a lot about the life and history of the family (and royals, in general) and the castle grounds are... As I drove down the long tree-lined drive towards the castle I thought now this is what a castle should look like! It didn't disappoint after that either. A wonderfully informative personal guided tour followed up with a pot of tea from the restaurant filled a wonderful few hours.
