The grandkids love here as there are lots of things to do and you can see lots of animals and have a picnic too outdoors......The cafe was clean and the staff were helpful and there was a good choice of food on the menu for all....

We had a very pleasant stroll around the nature reserve followed by a lovely home made lunch. It was such good value we returned for an equally good breakfast the following day. All served by friendly staff. The farm area looks good for children.

My wife and I were very taken by this place. It has a cute little farm with quaint birds and animals such as ducks, pheasants, donkeys, ferrets, and guinea pigs. There is also quite an extensive play area for the kids - and the adults as it includes swing tennis, basketball and football! The cafe is pretty good - we both thoroughly enjoyed the soup and plan to sample the quiche and baked potatoes in future. All of the staff are very welcoming and helpful. There are also some little souvenirs such as key rings and stuffed toy animals. After a visit to the cafe, we also walked round the actual nature reserve. This is a strikingly idyllic walk with the whole shebang - there are three or four beautifully unspoilt lochs and a plethora of wildlife: we saw nestling sand martins, lapwings, geese, swans, ducks, bees, butterflies and even a deer down by the water! Bizarrely, we were the only people on the whole walk! We do have a gripe, though - the paths were not clearly enough signposted and we lost our sense of direction which was a bit worrying until we managed to get back on track. This was a shame as the rest of the attraction is logically set out; it would not take much to have clearer wooden signs. Hopefully, this issue can be remedied in future. Overall, though, we were utterly smitten with this place and will be back again in future (there is ample car parking and it’s not too bad a drive as long as you take care on the various B roads on the way there, some of which are quite snaky).

This is a farm shop with a tea room which is located beside a lovely bird reserve. The reserve has several lochs and a route of paths around it. Lovely place to walk and take children
