Nice little walk
Mar 2020 • Family
Little family dog walk up here on a bit of a whim. Lovely views across Aberdeen via a pleasant circular route.
One word of caution, there was so much dog poo at times it was like walking through a mine field. Needs poo bins or maybe dog walkers with a conscience.

Brimmond Hill, nice walk moderately hard in some areas but well worth the effort for the beautiful views. Easy to reach only approx 10 miles from centre of Aberdeen only complaint is very small car park if a few people want the walk at the same time

Hill Climbing

Worth the climb to to top, great views over Aberdeen and all around the city including out to the north sea, really good on a clear day.

Beutiful Brimmond Hill
May 2018
Being on the hills gives you a sense of where you are, where you have been, where you are going and why.
It is a fine small hill this one and I am ashamed to say that I only did it for the first time this May in 2018. Given that I was brought up near the foot of this hill in the village of Kingswells. I cannot believe that I had never set foot on it before.
This lovely hill was in fantastic condition and a joy to look at. Brimmond Hill is a fine viewpoint, not just of the aircraft movements at Dyce international airport, or the shipping beyond Aberdeen city, but of most of the Marilyn’s of Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire.
Sadly my girlfriend Kimberly lost her Jaeger-LeCoultre watch on the Kingswells side. Therefore I think both of us will be regular visitors up this lovely Brimmond Hill.

What a great turn out we had on the 5th November this year. We had plenty music & song as we danced around Brimmond Hill.

Sausage Sizzle (year two)
Aug 2017 • Friends
My second year working on the Aberdeen bypass (AWPR) and I have finally moved in with Kathy from the village of Kingswells. Last weekend we both went for an evening stroll around Brimmond Hill. We met up with some old friends from the Mitchel's caravan park for a few cold beers and a BBQ.

Walking with the Dog
Jul 2017 • Family
What a great place to walk the dog or even to get fresh air.
This hill is minutes from the city and you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle.

Summer Solstice 2017
Jun 2017 • Friends
Summer Solstice 2017 was held on Brimmond Hill this year. A lovely summers evening with plenty celebrations, folk music, burning effigies and leaping over bonfires, as well as newer traditions like practicing yoga. Such a joyful time. The dark nights return too soon.

Brimmond Hill Country Park - New Access Road on A944
May 2017 • Solo
The Road Access from A944 has been modified again to final configuration. If you are coming from Aberdeen it is 1.2 miles beyond the roundabout at Primefour Complex but you need to go beyond the new bypass roundabout and take the turning marked Brodiach and either turnback on yourself or turn in and turn and come back out. The new road is now off the main roundabout going towards Aberdeen and is marked Wyndford Farm.
Travel along this road for 1.7 miles to reach the car park. The path takes you up from the rear of the hill on a fairly good path which is quite narrow at some points.
Brimmond Hill is 288 meters high and affords great views over Aberdeen right down to the sea where you can view quite a few supply boats tied up in the Bay. Good views over Benachie and Aberdeen Airport and can can view the aircraft landing.
A good family walk now that the weather is improving.
Well worth a visit to see the vista of Aberdeen.
You can also access this from Kingswells vilage as well which is probably an easier walk from the carpark there.
