Wander along the beach or the esplanade and take in the sea air, watch the oil rig support ships coming in and out of the harbour, visit the fun fair....go ice skating. Loads of options for a good day out

Yes, a beautiful long beach with a fine promenade and golden sands. Unfortunately the supposed dog free zone -well that's what is says on the signs - is ruined by an ignorant minority of dog owners. The only thing spoiling a five star review.

Long promenade for walking, cafes, restaurants. Large beach when the tide is out, otherwise just a small area. Fairground for fun rides, etc from around Easter time. Large bay - can see a long way North.

Miles of sand and sea. Can be cold with biting wind but wrap up warm and let the sea air blow away the cobwebs.

The beach is smooth sand and is ideal for walking, beachcombing, or just relaxing, weather permiting.

A popular spot with both locals and tourists, the beach is a great place for a stroll along the promenade. If it's chilly, wrap up well though, because the wind blows in off the sea. It's an easy and picturesque walk from Footdee up to the Donmouth Nature Reserve following the coastline. The prom is also a favourite route for... More
