About
There is a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere down on the farm as visitors have the freedom to meet and pet many rare-breed animals. There is also the opportunity to fed the animals. It is both a fun and educational day out for the whole family and a great opportunity to interact with both farm and exotic animals

Shockingly expensive for minimal attractions.Save your money and go to the play park.
poor selection of animals
£42 for 4 adults and 2 children
charging adults in is a joke as you can't leave children unsupervised

Childrens Birthday Party
May 2018 • Family
Nice place, kids loved the animals and the play area. Was a bit cold but cant blame that on the management. Was a lovely few day old pet lamb that the kids loved and my daughter loves the meerkats. Staff were very nice and food was standard kids fare with tea and coffee for adults.

A birthday treat.
Sep 2018 • Friends
Went to the park to celebrate a child's birthday with a group of friends. Mind you had a 3.5 year old along with me. Overall a great time was had by all. Kids enjoyed the animals and the outside play activities as the day was dry but chilly. The kids had the usual chips and chicken nuggets, fish fingers or sausages whilst the adults had tea/coffee and sandwiches. Served by very friendly and obliging staff.

Don't bother
Aug 2018 • Family
£24 for a family of 4, very few animals out in the main part of farm, and generally very disappointing. Took us half an hour to walk round, slowly. Kids got more out of the indoor play area. Avoid if you want to save your money.

Nice place but check time
Mar 2018 • Family
Visited with my two children. Having read opening times which stated 10am to 6pm arrived at 3:30pm with no one there. Stayed for few minutes and man said they closed and 4pm unsure why this wasn’t on the internet all the same paid half price for half an hour and we quickly went around. Good place for families outdoor park animals and indoor play area although we didn’t get in. Lady nice when we left and gave my son some free sweets nice gesture we will be back but a lot earlier in the day

False information
Oct 2017 • Family
Having carefully checked the information on Mellon Fun Farm re opening hours, I brought my Grand Nephew of 18months to the farm at 4pm today . His parents had travelled over forty miles to bring him . The farm had opening hours on the website as 10 am to 6pm .The van sitting in the yard said Open 7 days a week 10qm to 6pm
On arrival we found the reception closed . A note on door said Closed today 4pm
The lady of the house came along and I questioned the closure and she informed me the Farm was closed everyday at 4pm since the first of October and there was a note on the gate
When I told her the Internet had 10 to 6 on today she said I could have phoned to check. Why?
This is simply false advertising
On leaving the premises we saw two peacocks and a field of ducks beside the house and as the little boy is thrilled with ducks we exited the car to let him have a look for a few minutes before he had to return the forty miles
The lady came up to me and ordered us to leave . I said the child was only looking at the ducks for a fear minutes and we would do no harm.
She said it was private property and to get off immediately
Her attitude towards potential customers leaves much to be desired .
So be warned The Fun Farm is No Fun

Farm animals
Aug 2017 • Family
We took the kids here to visit the animals, they got some bags to feed them and saw pigs, donkeys, horses, lamas etc. Only thing was they were disappointed they couldn't touch any of the smaller animals like the rabbits. The location is lovely and the walk around the animals is nice. The playground is also nice. We didn't eat here as there wasn't much choice for vegetarians.

Fun day out
Aug 2017 • Family
Took our 2 boys aged 2 and 5 to visit Mellon Fun Farm and they just loved it loads of animals to look at big and small ,boys loved cuddling the rabbits , great children's play area inside and out , loads of picnic tables outside , very clean and staff very friendly , reasonably prices, we had food in the cafe which was fresh and tasty , could do with better extraction fans in the kitchen! We will definitely be back .
