About
'THE ABINGDON COLLECTION' is open by appointment only and offers a unique visitor experience in the beautiful rolling hills of Co. Tyrone. Divided into two distinct sections the first area covers classic cars, motorcycles, diecast models and enamel signs and every 'BIG BOY'S TOY' imaginable. Take a step back in time to the 1950's and remember when petrol was sold in gallons and you could still afford to buy it. The second part of the collection takes you back to the dark day's of World War Two and represents one of the largest private collections of militaria in the UK. Admission is free but contributions to Cancer Research are gratefully accepted. If you want a totally different day out with a history lesson included contact us now. Classic car and motorcycle clubs are very welcome and catering can be organised for visiting large groups. Admission is by appointment only but every effort will be made to facilitate any visiting individual or group. Fifty years of collecting in 2018.

A superb collection of classic vehicles, vintage memorabilia and historical artefacts. The effort Philip has gone to in collecting, restoring and displaying this fascinating collection is truly impressive. His passion for his subject is wonderful and he’s an engaging and highly knowledgeable guide. Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed the tour and have been recommending it to friends and family since.

This has been on my 'To Do' list for the past couple of years. Such a fantastic collection, each room is a treasure trove full of history and memories. Philip is so passionate and knowledgeable and encouraged us to get into the vehicles to get the full experience. Such attention to detail throughout the whole collection. Definitely recommend a visit, superb! Thank you Philip.

Absolutely incredible collection. Definitely a must see, Philip is so knowledgeable and his collection rivals many museums in Europe. I couldn’t recommend it more.

We visited the Abingdon Collection last week and suffice to say that we found the journey from Galway well worth while. The curator, Philip, gave us a wonderful tour and he is extremely knowledgeable. Every room we went into held a real treasure trove of items collected by Philip over the last 53 years. However, the final room housing the Military Museum left us absolutely stunned. It is absolutely fantastic and we can not recommend it strongly enough.. Thank you, Philip, we will be back.

We had a wonderful trip to this one-of-a-kind experience. A great place to visit if you are on the way north to Derry/Donegal, but worth a trip in its own right. Great tour, lovely personal touches from Philip. A real insight into history. Also supporting a great charity in Cancer Research.

Working and staying in the area with a free weekend and struggling to find something that interested me until I came across this place on Google. Visited with a work colleague and we were not disappointed. Probably the most interesting place to visit in the area, especially if you are into classic cars, a wide range of quality memorabilia and a superb military collection from WW1 and 2. Philip not only collects the best and rare items, he gives an excellent guided tour and even writes books. If you are in the area its well worth a visit.
