What an awesome, lovely quaint Anglican church! The site of the St Colmcille Abbey, approx. 546AD (Colmcille became Columba). It is an understated warm welcoming church. This belies the truly troubled past it has endured.

This little place in much more simplistic that the nearby St.Columb's, but well worth the short walk (less than 100 metres). You can also access the city's walls without steps here.

This is a nice church right off the city walls. I only spent about 15 minutes there, but it was worth it.

Great little church with terrific tiles, interesting stained glass windows and a proper church organ. Friendly parishioners directed us next door to the church hall where we took part in the Big Weave. Each weaving threads into the tapestries they were making. It was a terrific experience. Tea and cakes too!

We fell in love with this lovely little church. The only church on the walls. The two lovely ladies who showed us round told us the history of the church and we felt so welcome. Not to be missed on a trip round the walls. Check out the graveyard its well worth looking at. But if nothing else just sit in this lovely Church and feel its peace and calm.

A beautiful little Anglican church with a long history and a lovely prayerful ambience. If you visit the Walls, don't miss the chance to visit St Augustine's.

Having people welcome you at the door and give out lots of information without requesting an entrance fee was a pleasant surprise.

We are delighted you enjoyed your visit and we feel that it is a privelege to welcome visitors in without charge. It is part of our welcome policy and we hope that it conveys the values of a church.

we popped in to this little church on our walk along the City Walls. A special peaceful place. There was a clergy member in the church who made us feel very welcome

St Augustine's is a beautiful little church right by the city walls and close to St Columbs Cathedral. It is built on the site of the oldest church in Derry, the Black Church. The cherry blossom in the churchyard and the quaint grounds make it all the more attractive. Well worth calling into, beautifully ornate inside too.

This church, part of an Abby from the 1600s, was an unexpected find as we walked round the city walls. Tucked away in a green, peaceful garden it is well worth a visit and taking the time to enjoy the play of light through stain glass windows on the wall.
