About
Blue Beans craft shop is a family run business situated in Castlewellan at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. It offers its customers a modern and contemporary outlook and has over 100 different craftspeople. Exquisitely designed jewellery, distinctive pottery, sculpted pieces, delicately scented soaps and candles. Claire specialises in heirloom christening gowns and bonnets made from Irish linen.

Second visit to this amazing gift shop. Beautiful unique pieces on display. I was there with my sister and we both made some purchases - starting early for Christmas. Lady was very helpful and friendly. We aren’t often in the area but when we are will definitely return here and recommend.

We always go to Blue Beans when in Northern Ireland. My silver pendant that my husband bought me a year ago had tarnished and we couldn't get it clean. Blue Beans took it back to the jewellery artist to see if it could be replaced, the day before we going home. Two weeks later I received my beautiful pendant in the mail, as good as new, with no charge to send it to Australia! Thank you Blue Beans, Penny Western Australia

Love love love this shop! Always have a visit when in Ireland! Fantastic crafts and jewellery made by local artists, fab place for birthday and Christmas presents, always a friendly warm welcome and nothing is to much trouble, I purchased precious fragile bowls that were wrapped carefully so they could travel back to England with no problems.
From tea-towels to earrings , plates to ornaments , so much to look at and all beautiful, prices are very acceptable too.
Will be back in the near future!

I visited the Blue Beans gift & Craft Shop last Saturday and find it lovely and welcoming with its romantic and homely athmosphere. There is a wide range of gift ware from the little hand made broaches to larger pieces, from glass to ceramic, cloth and wood. I also discovered that the owner, a lovely young woman, makes Cristening robes for that very specia day. I will visit again for sure!!! :-)

Admittedly it's been a while since I was in the UK, but no trip to N.Ireland was complete without a visit to Claire's shop Blue Beans. Gorgeous pottery, jewellery and a bunch of other things. I remember there used to be gifts for kids too. But this is a place to discover what the very talented potters and jewellers of Ireland - north and south are doing. Just wonderful.

One of my favourite shops ever, I love everything about it, from the very smell of it to the service you receive! They have the most unique little items some of which nclude a beautiful little feather necklace and a stunning clay model photo of one of my favourite places, St John's Point, both of which my Fiance bought me. It has something for everyone! The owners are so friendly, helpful and professional. The little corner they have decorated at Christmas time is spectacular.
