Cosy stop off
Oct 2021
Cute little bar in the city centre tucked away down a little alleyway. We found seats in the new annex which the lovely owner told us had been an old antique shop. We're not sport fans so it was great to find somewhere customers could just have a drink and a chat without Saturday football and horse-racing blaring. The other groups of customers seemed to be there for that reason too! Call in!

Really great find and nice staff - especially Jo
Oct 2020
We found this place during a stop in Armagh on our way to Enniskillen on 1st October - we had a beer and spoke with the Jo the bar Lady explaining our trip and that we were destined for Derry after Enniskillen. She advised us to check as they were expecting tighter covid lockdown restrictions there. When we got to Enniskillen we called the Derry Hotel only to be advised that they were closing and cancelling our booking (at no cost to us). So we rebooked and spent our last night in Armagh and called into the bar again to thank Jo - Unfortunately she wasn't there so we asked one of the other staff to thank her for us. We had a pint and moved on to a restaurant called Uluru just around the corner. Having had our first drink - two pints turned up at our table and we said to the waitress - we didn't order them - but she said no they're from Jo at the Hole in the Wall. We never saw her but - thanks Jo a really nice surprise - hopefully we'll be back one day.

Nice bar, pull up a stall and the locals treat you as a neighbour, great selection of beers.
I look forward to dropping in again sometime soon.

Great pub

Went there on a Saturday night. It was heaving but managed to get some seats. Great live music and excellent beer. There is a large seating area outside if inside is too busy.

Hunkpapa live, brilliant night
Aug 2018
Me and my girlfriend had a quality night in here last night! There were a few bands on but hunkpapa were the cream of the crop! We met the owner and her husband, lovely people! Very friendly. Really nice intimate venue. Can’t argue with £3.50 a pint either! We will be back!

Lovely historic bar

Called in for a few pints as I was in Armagh working and staying nearby. Had a few pints and the craic with the local regulars was too good I decided to have stay for a while longer. The open fire made the bar real cosy and warm. The bar lady told me about the new gin menu which looked too good not to try. The Jawbox and home made honeycomb was delicious. Was busy for during the week with tourists from France, Spain and England also in the bar that night. A great pub with lovely staff and punters and I will be back if in Armagh for a business trip again.

Nice and friendly

Haven't been in a pub in Armagh for many years but this is a very friendly, quiet little pub. Seems popular with locals. Very friendly, helpful staff. A wee gem in the heart of the city. Great for a refreshing drink after wandering around the city. They have a friendly parrot ( in a cage ) also...big attraction for the younger ones...who appear very welcome too.

Great atmosphere
Jun 2016 • Couples
We went here on the recommendation of our B&B host and we need to thank him a lot. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable and we had the best pints of Smithwicks we've ever had.

Quaint & historic

Visited on recommendation for a quick one. Quaint, beams, parrot, Guinness. Worth a visit.

Quiet on our trip as it was a Sunday.

Done!
