As you drive along the Coast Road from Larne to Ballycastle you will see directions for each of the glens. The roads up into the glens are narrow and twisting and must be driven carefully but you will be rewarded with beautiful unspoiled scenery. Perhaps the most spectacular glen is Glenariff rising from the little town of Waterfoot up onto the Antrim plateau. This is the 'queen of the glens' and is certainly the most photographed.

A stay in the Glens is quite amazing. Perfectly situated for visiting the Antrim coast or Belfast. Beautiful inland and coastal scenery all within easy reach.. Pretty villages with interesting pubs and superb hospitality from the locals.

The Glens of Antrim, known locally as 'The Glens', is a region of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It comprises nine glens or valleys, that run from the Antrim Plateau to the coast. The Glens are an area nature has put on full display the beauty of the flora and fauna of Ireland. Even from our tour bus they were awesome.

We live in the glens, so it's home to us. But there's still that thrill on a nice heading through the glens for a drive. follow the Coast Road from Larne right through to Portstewart. Get to Cushendun and head inland through the Glens, beautiful scenery either way. Stop of at any of the beaches, our favourite has always been Cushendun, lovely quiet little beach. Nice little village to wander round, have a bite to eat before heading further along the coast. If it's something special you're after, carry on towards Ballycastle and take the scenic Torr Head route. Not to betaken lightly for inexperienced driver though. It's a rollercoaster ride with sharp climbs and declines. But the view you get from the top of the Head is spectacular on a clear day.

It is true what the old Irish ballads says you'd imagine the picture of heaven it would be where the the nine green glens of Antrim are calling to me
