This is ridiculous I have been late for work multiple times because of this company. So much for booking the taxi on the app the day before to make sure I have a booking so then they show up late or don’t even show. Then they say they are trying to get the taxi to u as soon as possible. Terrible!

All taxi companies are currently experiencing a shortage of drivers as the economy reopens and demand exceeds supply - we are as frustrated about this as you are and are doing everything we can to improve the situation We are lobbying government for changes to the entry requirements for new drivers to help get more into the industry and for a change to the fare structure to encourage more drivers to work anti-social hours, particularly at evenings and weekends. They've lost it!

We used this company all the time naively thinking our regular business would result in priority service.
They have apparently lost 400 drivers and can no longer cope with demand. Having been let down several times (they disable the app and refuse to take telephone bookings when busy). They are now my avoid if at all possible company

David, thanks for the review. The App is occasionally turned off in areas when there is high demand. This is to ensure we have sufficient capacity to meet the bookings and prebookings already taken in that area. We currently have around 900 drivers but it isnt enough for the demands that our customers are making. All taxi companies are currently experiencing a shortage of drivers as the economy reopens and demand exceeds supply - we are as frustrated about this as you are and are doing everything we can to improve the situation We are lobbying government for changes to the entry requirements for new drivers to help get more into the industry and for a change to the fare structure to encourage more drivers to work anti-social hours, particularly at evenings and weekends. Garbage. No idea where they’re going. Not invested into the app side of things so useless on that front. Profit seeking losers, essentially. Avoid, unless you’re a clown.

Nightmare, have used fonaCAB for years. Better off using the bus. At least you're guaranteed it will be there. Ordered a taxi tonight for the Northern Whig for 18.45, they kept adding on time to the fare. So I decided to use public transport, ie the bus. I would have been happier if they had informed me that they could not pick me up. I realise that they have lost drivers, but at least let customers know that they can't meet the booking.

Mr Bradshaw. I have looked at your account. You made two bookings, one after the other on Saturday night. In both cases a driver was assigned to collect you, but you cancelled both bookings (perhaps inadvertently when checking your booking) one before the Driver made his way to you and one where the Driver was expected to arrive with you at 18.48. When you cancelled the bookings any notification / update to you would have been cancelled as well. You are right, demand for taxis is exceeding supply across the industry at the moment, but in this instance this was not the issue. I have also sent a reply to your Facebook message with a copy of the booking log for your reference. We never like to disappoint customers and are sorry for your inconvenience, but we hope you understand that this issue was because of your cancellation and not our service. Thank you

If I could give zero stars I would! Booked 2 taxis on the app well in advance and well before closing time in a pub in West Belfast. Taxis were meant to arrive at 12, got a message just before then on the app to advise taxis would be 1 minute. Brought my elderly mother and the rest of us outside to wait, no sign of taxi, can’t get through on the phone. 25 mins later still no taxi. Thankfully another local taxi took us all home. Received a call from FonaCAB 32 mins after the supposed arrival time asking if I still wanted a taxi. Shocking service . I booked fonaCAB expecting you to be reliable , well in advance, and well before closing time. You will never be getting my business again, that’s for sure

NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Ordered by both us and our prestigious hotel but no appearance for 20-25 mins after requested! And that was the second taxi company we tried! Late for titanic slot so missed a lot of exhibition (costly!).

There is a shortage of taxi drivers in the industry as the economy has reopened and every taxi company has insufficient drivers to meet the demands of increased bookings - we are as frustrated at this as you are. Three recent bookings

Strange to write a review about a cab company but I felt I had to because the service from start to finish was excellent.

The customer service before making the bookings was excellent and very helpful and patient given my questions. The three drivers that took me on my three journeys were very warm and friendly and made the trips enjoyable. Each cab arrived ahead of time booked

All in all an excellent service and look forward to using again next time I am in Belfast

During the week the service is amazing but they make me late for work every Sunday even tho I booked my taxi through the app. Disappointed as I know I’m loosing money every Sunday because their schedule isn’t organized correctly. Just not a nice experience and honestly getting tired of it.

Hi. Thanks for your review, and sorry we're not meeting your expectations at weekends. This is not a scheduling issue - our Drivers work their own hours rather than fixed shifts, we do not tell them when to work - this is common across the industry. All taxi companies are especially busy at present as lockdown eases as there are more bookings than drivers working - this gap is wider at the weekends where demand is higher. We would hope that this issue will improve as the initial rush subsides and more drivers return to work. If you are booking using the APP, the further in advance you book, the better as our system priorities advance bookings - this may help improve things for you in the interim.

Just want to say thanks for the brilliant service provided today from fonacab. Patient polite and friendly. Would highly recommend. My son in laws first trip here and couldn’t of got a nicer driver and prompt service. Thank you so much 😊. My daughter uses them two. Anywhere from 4:30 am. Always prompt and polite. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
