Like Clifton Street Cemetery, this old burial ground had fallen to rack and ruin, and what remains now is the result of a well-intentioned clean up operation.
This burial ground dates from the 5th century, and like Clifton Street Cemetery, the graves of the movers and shakers of yesteryear are buried here. The Baird Family who founded the Belfast Telegraph would be an example.
There is some signage, but I think it would be more helpful to get a guided tour, for example on the European Heritage Open Days.
One interesting feature has to be an impressively carved stone statute of Queen Victoria. Although originally placed in a different part of Belfast, it dates from 1897, which was the year of her Diamond Jubilee.

A lovely way to sit and recoup. Walking around the park area is lovely admiring queen Victoria or reading the headstone rain or shine worth a visit to take in the history look at the great gun or simply let time flow by.

In amongst all the hustle and bustle of Shankill road is this lovely peaceful park/cemetery. Not much remains in what was the old cemetery, just a few memorials and a couple of more modern graves, though I think the place is packe with grave, but few stones.
Really nice to just walk around the sereness of the graveyard, say a prayer or two.
Now, next door to this graveyard, and I would say it is part of it, is the Garde of Reflection, a commemorative garden basically in respect of all locals who gave there lives in the two world wars, this too, is worth a visit, I am actually rather surprised there isn't an entry for this place on TA.
