I definate recommendation for any Couple's looking for an different date night
On arrival we were excellently placed in front with a clear view of Jazz starting from 9pm.
The Menu and special deals consider special clnsideration as price is very appealing. However we chose ala Carte and enjoyed a Surf & Turf experience
Starters were a wonderful portion for 2 to share:
Moules Marinier in very tasty Garlic, white whine & cream sauce
For Mains:
Wife had the wonderful STEAK FRITES
I enjoyed a delicious perfectly cooked RIBEYE
All went well with 2 bottles of Chablis which a definate recommendation to any White wine drinkers
Special Thanks to our waitress from Donegal. Whom was flat on her feet busy serving many tables.
After the food, the Live Jazz music by exceptional and world renowned Jazz Musicians was absolutely delightful to end the evening off for anybody that appreciates Jazz

Service was friendly and professional, both front of house and waiters. Food was very good, especially desserts. Live music from John Trotter and Richard Swan really added to the night. We got three courses for two people and a bottle of wine for £85; for the overall experience, we felt this was very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Went for an evening meal with family and I couldn't fault anything. The food was amazing, I chose mussels as a starter followed by fish of the day and both courses were full of flavours. The service throughout was top class. Naturally the entertainment was limited owing to the restrictions imposed by COVID but they had a pianist playing and singing and his contribution helped to make it the perfect evening. The cost of the evening was helped by the 'eat out to help out' but even without this I would have been totally happy with the whole experience.

I rang the hotel at 10am. this morning to check availability for Bert's Jazz bar as we wanted to have lunch and enjoy the music on Sunday 1st May. The girl on reception said we did not have to book as she checked availability and we could just arrive and we will be seated. We arrived and the girl asked if we had booked I explained all of the above to her and she returned with the manager. He said we could only have the table for an hour. We explained that we wanted to enjoy our afternoon and did not want to be rushed. He apologised and said there was nothing he could do. I then went to the hotel reception and explained what had happened. The receptionist who was male said we could have a table from 3 to 5 without checking. He then told me I would have to go back to Bert's Jazz bar and arrange this myself?! I explained that I was not going to do that. Whatever happened to the notion that customer service is key.
What a mess. We did not go as the disorganization was too much.

I took my wife to Bert’s Jazz Bar on December 28th 2022 at 9.30pm following a birthday dinner. The bar was quiet. We were told that it was table service only yet there was nothing on the entrance stating this, and they would not serve us. There were other customers at the bar who had been served. No further explanation was given. We had also tried to have a drink at the Cloth Ear at 7pm which was also very quiet and were refused entry by the door person Stating they were fully booked. Both establishments are part of the Beannchor Group - I was extremely disappointed at this poor level of service and will not return to either.

I expected better from the experience.
The food was good but a bit over priced. The layout is elegant art deco in nature, not really what I would call typical Jazz ambiance. I expected to stay for 2 or 3 hours but the restaurant were putting pressure on to turn over the table slightly after the 1 hour mark. While I was there, the musicians were mute, just HiFi music. You need to pick your dining time and probably be an alcohol drinker to get to stay for the live musical performance.
I won't go back.

Food - excellent. Atmosphere - excellent. Staff - utterly superb. Cannot find one negative aspect to our visit. Never feels rushed or buzzing … so relaxing. I must reiterate how beautifully cooked and presented the food was… I had mussels to start and braised beef to follow… my husband had crab to start and hake to follow. A shared cheeseboard to finish. All delectable.

Wonderful food unlike any where I have been. The food is different and is out of this world. We had steak and chicken last night and they both were unreal and cooked to perfection. Our server was so knowledgeable and was able to recommend the perfect wine to complement the steak. The right amount of time in between our 3 courses.

This place is absolutely amazing. The straff! Thank you Miro fantastic service. The food is good, very reasonable two courses around £26 the entertainment live jazz was amazing all night. You need to book as it gets booked up. Do not miss this if you are visiting Belfast

We visited Bert's Jazz Bar while on a mini break to Belfast. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed yet stylish. The service is excellent and the menu, although not extensive, is varied with a good choice of courses. The food was delicious, as was the wine. To make the evening more special the jazz pianist and singer were both very good, just the right volume and tone for the size of the restaurant.
I thoroughly recommend a vist to Bert's Jazz Bar.

Music starts at 9pm....not overly expensive but really nice place...you will pay for the jazz at the weekends......

Most you eat at the restaurant to see the jazz live music or can you just buy a drink in the bar or lounge area to also enjoy the live music?
Also Is there a dance space at the bar for people to dance ?

No you don’t have to eat you can have drinks at the bar and hear the music though not as good seating if you were in dining area you would have much better view of band .
No dance floor .
we have reservations at the great room on a Sunday for our 1 year.. if we wanted to stop by berts for a few cocktails and jazz before our dinner would I require reservations or are we able to just stop in ? I have never traveled to Ireland before so I just wanted to double check. Thank You!

A 5 piece Jazz band plays every week night at 9 that is true but maybe you would be interested in the fact there is a set on every
Sunday with a solo pianist between 12 & 2pm? It's a very relaxed atmosphere.
