Lavery's is Belfast's oldest family-owned pub, at the heart of the city's social life for almost 100 years. Perfectly located a short distance from both the city centre and the vibrant Queen's Quarter, it's a versatile, lively entertainment venue with the charm of a traditional Irish pub. Behind the unassuming street façade lies a grand total of four bars, two roof gardens, a street-level beer garden, an independent off licence and Northern Ireland's largest pool room. All of our bars offer something different - whether it be exciting club nights, live music, comedy, live sport or free entertainment, Lavery's offers something for everyone: The Public Bar The perfect place to relax by the fire with a quiet pint or catch up with friends, the Public Bar is the traditional heart of Lavery's, and home to our many loyal customers from the city centre and beyond. The Back Bar & Beer Garden The Back Bar has taken on legendary status for its focus on great music and unpretentious good times. There is free entertainment seven nights a week, with live gigs from the hottest new bands and our ever-popular open mic night, The Living Room. Mister Tom's Lounge At weekends our first floor venue Mister Tom's is an exciting nightclub venue. It's also home to Lavery's Comedy Club, featuring the best comedians in Northern Ireland and beyond, and it's available too as a stylish and comfortable room for private functions. The Pool Room and Roof Terraces On our top floor is Northern Ireland's largest pool room, with 22 pool tables and full bar facilities. The pool room opens out onto our two open-air roof terraces, and there is free DJ entertainment seven days a week. Every Saturday night, the pool room is transformed into our hugely popular alternative club, Beat Connection - dazzling lights and visuals and a thrilling soundtrack of electronica, hip-hop and house. The Woodworkers The Woodworkers is Belfast's new social bar and rotating tap room. We're proud to offer the best craft beers from around the world on our six rotating taps, plus an array of delicious cocktails, quality spirits, wine and more. It's heaven for beer aficionados, with a brand new offering every week plus regular free tap takeovers from the most exciting independent brewers around, and all set to a carefully curated playlist, plus DJs from Thursday to Saturday. Lavery's Independent Off Licence Our off sales is nestled between the Public Bar and The Woodworkers and open seven days a week with an extensive range of craft beer, ale, lager, cider, wine and spirits - not to mention exclusive Lavery's merchandise! Food Food is available in all of our bars from noon to 10pm (12.30pm-10pm on Sunday), featuring traditional Irish cuisine, light bites and a fine array of contemporary fare - all made using fresh ingredients sourced in Northern Ireland. We are happy to meet all dietary requirements, and we are proud of our specially selected gluten-free menu. Group bookings are welcome. Lavery's has a food hygiene rating of five stars. Sport Lavery's is the number one venue for live sport in Belfast, with HD screens throughout the building offering live coverage of football, rugby, golf, darts, racing, cricket, tennis, F1, NFL and more on request. We have close relationships with Ulster Rugby, Belfast Giants ice hockey team and the Northern Ireland national football team, and we're delighted to welcome fans of each to support their teams at Lavery's. We are also proud sponsors of Queen's University football and volleyball clubs, and Belfast Roller Derby. Room Hire and Function Rooms We would be delighted to host your weddings, parties, pool parties and private functions, or book ahead to reserve a table for private dining. To make an enquiry, please use the contact form which you can find at the Room Hire / Function Rooms section of our website.

Went here one afternoon. I'd described it as a 'weatherspoons' type pub. Big, chainy with less atmosphere than other places in Belfast. Felt a bit sticky and unclean. Doormen on which I don't think is a good sign. Bigger groups coming in, bit rowdy. Not a quaint, Irish bar we had hoped for. We wouldn't return. Much nicer Irish bars... More

After our tour guide pointed out this pub we decided to visit early evening. Very welcoming, friendly staff and giant sized pub meals! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and a few drinks! Well worth a visit!

This is a great bar. Staff are friendly, drinks are not too expensive and the pool tables are in really good condition. We had a great time there the other night and they have other more clubby parts of the venue downstairs and outside. Place also becomes one big club on Saturdays.

We came here last year and loved it so a return was planned. Great bar food, good value and tasty. It is a sports type bar which I would normally not enjoy eating in but it's combined with the fabulous darkness of an Irish pub! Guinness is delicious! Enjoy!

Drinks - Very Expensive Food - N/A Pool - Average equipment (very old dirty pool balls), £1 per game with no option of playing at an hourly rate. Wouldn't recommend 4/10

Looks like a very dark drinking hole at first appearance but has been opened up and connected with the Woodworkers next door. Outdoor yard and upper terrace. Loads of pool tables. Two of us had a great halloumi salad and chips, friend had mussels. Both delicious. Lovely table staff.

The bar was recommended to us and I took my 2 year old daughter. The staff are friendly and children are allowed downstairs until pretty late. I did the 'pour your own pint of Guinness' and you get at t shirt and a pint of Guinness for £5 which isn't bad. We had food which was tasty, but slightly pricey.... More

This place is huge and quite easy to get lost in (after a few drinks) but is an essential part of any night out in Belfast. It's noisy, especially if the football's on, but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. There's a decent range of beers on offer too.

We stopped off at Laverys for lunch mid way round our hop on hop off bus tour of Belfast. It wasn't too busy and we were easily served when we arrived - the food was quick to arrive and was hot and tasty with good portion sizes. My friend can't eat sugar and when she asked whether there was any... More
