Extensive gardens and walks on the edge of Belfast/

These long established gardens are for all ages and abilities with several carparks. The rose gardens are world renowned. The Japanese sunken garden is well worth a visit.

Used to live in one of the gate houses of this beautiful park, I'm sure it was much nicer when sir Thomas was in charge but still well worth a visit for a walk or jog. Rose week can be very busy and family oriented. Will miss the park very much.

Nice peaceful well kept city park with off-street parking, nice tarmac paths for walking on or large areas of grass with rose flower beds etc. Our cycling club called in here for a coffee stop / lunch after a sunday morning bike ride at the stables coffee shop within the park grounds, really nice clean paved outdoor dining area as... Lovely place to dander around, well kept gardens. Its particularly nice July/August when the roses are all out which consume most of the grounds.

We tend to head out on a Sunday for a dander / cycle with the kids. Lovely walks, excellent kids play area and a decent coffee shop. Certain times of the year are better that others because of the rose gardens but to be honest it's a nice place for a quite walk in the fresh air.

Went here today and brought our dog. Although the roses are past their best in August, the gardens are still beautiful. The grounds are well maintained with an endless choice of walks to go along. It is great for kids too with a play park & an ice cream van being kept very busy. There is a lovely coffee shop... More

This magnificent park is both elegant and attractive. The many thousand roses, cultured lawns and magnificent trees are a sight not to be missed. fortunately we had perfect weather, dry and not to hot as we strolled around the rose gardens and woodlands. peaceful and comforting. would certainly rate it among the top 5 of Belfast, could easily visit on... Beautifully maintained large park. Children's playground. Traditional ice-cream van in summer. Rose gardens, famous especially in July when activities are organised for the 12th July week. Café with snack services and lots of outdoor seating. Picnic benches available and lovely walks bring dog walkers, families, friends out to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
