We're the MAC, Belfast's new arts venue.

We select, create and mix up music, theatre, dance and art - bringing you the very best of local and international talent, all under one roof.

Our world-class building is situated in the heart of Belfast's bustling Cathedral Quarter, right behind Saint Anne's Cathedral.

We are home to international art exhibitions, the very best in live theatre, experimental works and all manner of weird and wonderful goings-on.

One visit and you'll discover that the MAC has something for all ages and interests. We hope you love our building as much as we do.

I attended a fantastic presentation in the Factory on the 6th Floor of the MAC yesterday. It was hosted by a well known local grocer and introduced 4 new health based ambassadors (see my blog for details). The Factory is a great space for everything like launches to arts and leisure. The MAC itself hosts conferences, plays, dramas, art exhibitions... More

The current exhibitions are awful. I love contemporary art but was very disappointed with the current exhibitions what a waste of time and shoe leather wish I had used my time better.

Came here for lunch on New Year's Eve. Was seated in a booth in the main foyer. Slightly unusual layout with tables near main entrance but the hustle and bustle of theatre goers actually works really well. Service was very friendly and non-intrusive. Had the ham and leek risotto which was absolutely delicious - couldn't fault it! Not too expensive... More

Good central venue for events, plays, performances and art displays. Cafe unlike other such venues, is standalone in its performance and atmosphere. Excellent range of brunch, lunch and afternoon tea. Excellent place to hold event, again with cafe catering makes it stand out.

This was my first visit to Native at the Mac. Place was very busy due to Media conference as well as their normal tour and show. Managed eventually to get one of the side booths. Main cafe area was quite cool. My friend and I both had a scone and coffee. Both very pleasant. Will come back to try lunch.

This is a really nice arts centre in the heart of the city with some interesting exhibitions. It's well laid out and spacious and I've always found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I recommend stopping off for food in the restaurant downstairs which offers a tapas style menu. Good service and prices.

The Mac never disappoints as a venue. The atmosphere of the play was evident in the foyer on arrival with actors mingling with the patrons. The facilities and staff are excellent. However the play was disappointing. Full of stereotypical characters some were overplayed to death. The story of the working-class revolt was a study in itself. There were subplots that... More
