Why is it called a shopping mall? It's a short line of businesses leading to the bus station. Half the time everything is shut or just plain unappealing. Somewhere to grab some food before catching the bus? No.

We were here between getting off a train and catching a bus on the next leg of our journey. Although the mall is not much to speak of in itself, it is handy. We called in to Yahi, a cafe, to sit for a bit and get some drinks to go. Whatever the weather outside, in here you’ll be warm and dry. You do have a choice of places to grab a snack or a drink. The corridor can take you to the bus and railway terminals beyond, and I like that it is wide enough, with double sets of doors, so you’re never stuck behind people who stand in the wrong places. Outside I made sure to visit the Monument to the Unknown Woman Worker, the greatest work of art in Belfast.

This place is all shut down at night, but it has some life in the daytime. That being said, the person with me disliked the smells coming from the fast food outlets inside. None of them were tempting. On the plus side, the place serves as a corridor to the bus and railway terminals beyond, and it is a nice, wide, clean corridor to go through. (Outside is a fabulous statue, the Monument to the Unknown Woman Worker. That is always worth a look, and is constantly redecorated with added woven art.)

This a Jewel in the Crown. some beauty little shops just tucked away. Only the best Cafe in the whole of N/I in Mummy;s little Bistro and we got our hair cut in the best Barbar shop before we flew back England that afternoon. Breakfast in the morning and a hair cut to follow then off we went for our flight back home, what else can anyone ask for,

It's a passageway, no more. Inside many of the shops are closed. I do go into Boots, but sometimes I even avoid this place and cut through the side way past the Opera House! Not a good mall to go shopping. The wonderful sculpture Waterfall of Souvenirs is gone, moved away.

This thoroughfare has the potential to join a lot of places, roads, rail, buses, people, hotels, pubs and shops.

The BFM stopped off for a lovely bite to eat. I think this is a gold mine if the right mind took over. It needs high end shops, after all wouldn't that be a great ad for Belfast. Also it needs a high end visitor centre.

So who's gonna do it? I think Hastings should!

Whilst the Great Northern Mall is Northern in the sense of it being situated in Northern Ireland, it is neither Great, nor a Mall (as the definition of a mall is a large shopping area ... which this is definitely NOT)!!!

If you want shopping go to Castlecourt, Royal Avenue, High Street, Ann Street etc.

If you want a bus or train to Dublin or anywhere south or west of Belfast, then this so-called "Mall" is a shortcut from Great Victoria Street itself to Translink's services: the Europa Bus Centre and Great Victoria Street train station.

The cafe isn't worth a detour, and the Boots is tiny, without a pharmacy. The "mall". is fairly dark and inviting, but thankfully it is very short!

Shame on whoever named this. The name is misleading. Tourists: don't bother! Nothing here worth seeing. The Bus and Train stations are ok though!

There is nothing really great about the Great Northern mall. It is just a handful of shops and which is connected to the city bus and train station. There is an interesting statue outside the mall in front of Cafe Nero. Visit Victoria square mall if you intend to go shopping instead.

This mall is only one line of shops and there isn’t many of that. Here has a Caffè Nero, boots a few eating places and an e-cig shop which is good other than that there is never a reason to be here.

Don't go out of your way to visit. It is a small downtrodden mall leading to the bus station and does not provide any shopping experience at all. If you want a cheap greasy spoon bite to eat then visit if you feel the need. Otherwise don't bother and walk on past.
