This is the epicentre of numerous events throughout the year. The architectural backdrop of the Custom House is superb although more seating here would draw more people to the square when no events are actually on.

Custom House and its surrounding square are often cordoned off for concerts. It is a wonderful building near the waterfront and has 15 steps leading up to the front door. A statue of the speaker is at the foot of the steps and there are sculptures above the windows.

Worked in HM Customs all my life and agree with all reviews that it is an imposing yet beautiful building. All I really ask is that it is called by its correct name - CUSTOM HOUSE not CUSTOMS HOUSE - no S. THANK YOU

Earlier today I attended the press launch of the 2015 TESCO Food Festival at Custom House Square and had a super time. It was superb in that we (invited guests) had clear access to all the stalls. Very important as you can actually manoeuvre properly without the heat and cramped conditions when it's open to the public!!! After speeches by... More

Stayed in penthouse apartment on top floor (2 bedroom 2 bath) for about 4 weeks on business. Very nice kitchen with everything you might need and large living area. Bed comfort is ok but not the best of many places I have stayed. The housekeeping staff was great. There is a beautiful panoramic view of Belfast and also a deck... More

Any time I had previously passed Customs House the square had always been cordoned off for an event or concert. Thankfully when I visited a couple of weeks ago the square was empty & I got peace & quiet to take in the splendour of the wonderful building. The building is an impressive size & has around fifteen steps leading... More

Took an important oral examination in 1986 here, and looked upon the place with foreboding, but always admired the structure and the architecture, returning to admire the building and other informative historians notes on the place. Noted that the surroundings have been restructured from my recollections, and for the better. And around the corner from the Albert Clock, another architectural... More

This beautiful building can be found between Donegall Quay and Victoria Street, in the center of Belfast. It's supposed to convey the power of the British Empire under Victoria, and the success of Belfast, as it expanded rapidly during the 19th century. The Square reminds me of Smithfield in Dublin, and it hosts concerts and civic receptions. It was officially... More
