This was my first visit and the place was buzzing with lively conversation in the busy cafe. I had a latte, but the Irish breakfasts looked very tempting. After coffee we had a tour of the building and enjoyed the art exhibitions. I found the staff friendly and welcoming. There is a small gift shop with a good range of... More

As a long time supporter of the Irish language I was simply astounded by my treatment recently in their café. I was verbally abused by the café manager and publicly humiliated. That a young man would treat an older person like this is against every Irish value I have been brought up with. I was so distraught that I was... More

The is the Irish Gaelic centre in Belfast. An old church has been converted into meeting rooms, cafe, rooms for live shows and the library and information centre. Staff very friendly. Highly recommended especially if you have an interest in the Gaelic language.

It had been a while since i last visited Culturlann - delighted to see it going from strength to strength. We visited early lunchtime and the place was buzzing with a rich mix of conversations in a range of languages including Irish. The stew was delicious. My guest visiting from Denmark was delighted with the experience, bought various cards, souvenirs... More

An excellent place to see where cultures intersect in Belfast. Bookstore with many Irish language books on offer, tourist info point, art exhibits, classes of varied sorts. I was there to see a musician friend play a gig in their intimate performance space and found staff and space very welcoming.

Culturlann located in the heart of the Gaeltacht Quarter is a bustling cultural arts centre with the Irish Language at its core. An old church transformed, a living example of Belfast's contradictions! I met a colleague there today for coffee. The coffee has really progressed there in recent years with arguably the best Americano in the West of the city... More
